Otogi 2 (Xbox) $20 at Amazon (J&R)

Hrm, it's one of those games that walks the thin line between "Wait for $10" and "Never able to find this ever again". What to do, what to do.

You're out of your mind!!!!!

BUY it now.

I just woke my friend up for this one.
The game is as good as Ninja Gaiden, if not better!

I picked it up on release day for $40,.... but at $20, I might buy it again!

Thanks Cheapy!!!

Nice price but I haven't even played the first one that came out :(

I only tried the demo.

How better is Otogi 2 compared to the first one?

Wait for Gamestop to have it for 20 bucks. Then you can get free shipping. My guess is this is a universal price drop since it is published by Sega and 4 other Sega games dropped recently.

If you dont want to take a chance that this game may go out of stock, maybe you could try ordering some other games to even out the shipping. I know they selling Blood Will Tell for 19.88 as well.

If you are looking for another deal on Otogi 2, check the last issue of GMR (the one with the Resident Evil cover). EB is offering a $10 Gift Voucher if you buy Otogi 2. The deal is good from 01/11/05 to 03/11/05. I'm waiting to see if a price drop is imminent as this would be a great deal if that's the case :)

I want to know if #2 is better. I bought the first one because of all the reviews claiming its "sleeper hit" status but quickly traded it because it was somewhat of a mindless button masher. Weak presentation of story, too.

Otogi 2 is more of the same, with different playable characters and more destructable environments.

There's nothing reallyc hanged between the two in the gameplay or the presentation, however.

I picked it up from Outpost.com at $26.99 and don't regret it, since I liked the first one.

This is one of those cases where it isn't perfectly cheap but cheap enough. Otogi 2 may end up like trying to find Crimson Sea 2. Both are in and out--usually out--of stock online and not seen anywhere very often.

For the most part, it will probably end up min. $20+ shipping on Ebay every once in a while, so I might as well grab a guaranteed new one now. Never mind that finding local stores that have these things quickly eats up a gallon of premium gas...

holy cow balls batman!

I've been wanting this game since it was announced. Haven't finished the first one but I know I want this one too.

I'll have to justify it somehow...

Thanks CheapyD!

..::EDIT::..
Neither EB or GS has this in stock (either as new or po)...better get it here.

Hopefully this is a sign of an upcoming price drop. I've played the OXM demo to death and I picked up Otogi 1 for $10. Shipping kills it for me as I know this title will be at $20 soon.
Any idea if this is down to $20 @ Best Buy (for GGC'in)?
Still $40 at Best Buy.

I can't seem to find it for $19.88. For that matter, anyone knows how to see all the games that J&$ is selling in one page? I am assuming that only items that are sold through J&R will be able to combine shipping, not everything that Amazon.com is selling....

Usually it does, but it definitely does not kill THIS deal. Also note I already got mine, unbelievably.

Pretty cheap for 1-or-2-day shipping, in a bigger-than-necessary box no less. Didn't need it this fast, but it is nice to see they aren't just charging $5 to ship the equivalent of Media Mail...
$5 shipping for a single game, CD or DVD is just flat-out ridiculous. Some retailers really stick it to you.
$5 for 2 day shipping isn't bad at all.

Flat-out wrong in this case. This $5 is for honest 2-day shipping.
It's 14.99 pre-played at Gamerush if you want to go that route...
Haven't seen one pre-owned Otogi 2 at my gamerush(s) in the past several monthes.
