I was going to write a post about how I saw visions of DMK laughing at me.
And there he was.... there he was...

It was no game. It was trying to get the freakin' screws off the hard drive caddy, I CAN'T remove a single one of them.
10 years of computer hardware experience and I can't do shit to them.
A freakin gorilla tightened thosed punks on.

The BLUE screw just to take out the hard drive took an hour, and spent an hour and a half on the four little ones.
Bastards. Fingers cut! Ouch! Bandaid!

Shut up DMK.
Just, shut up. :(

I'm taking the hard drive to a computer shop, and put my head down in shame as I ask them to simply remove the screws, "I can handle the rest".

Ok, now I'm gone.

ban hammer was dropped. Chicka was the only one that survived. I think?

And Dallow why are you taking out your HDD? I'm sure you mentioned before but I missed the reasoning.

I was a meatspin survivor too.

-jumps on QOTSA bandwagon- I found myself listening to them a lot more than I thought.

Did I miss anything? It was a long night of chilli dogs, Settlers of Catan, Munchkin, and They Live.

Now I'd never seen it before tonight, and I have one thing to say - the 5 minute or so section from when he puts on the glasses for the first time and goes on a huge shooting spree in the bank is so classic that I still can't fully integrate the level of awesome it was.

"I don't like this oooooooooooooooone bit" and the bubblegum phrases...holy shit. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

I especially love the fact that he shoots someone INSTANTLY after the bubblegum line. "And I'm all outta bubblegum"BLAM.
what happened in the last OOT with www.meatspin.com
IMO Shrike got overzealous with the bans. He banned everyone that posted the link for meatspin. Except for two people. But he didn't ban everyone at the same time. He said that once he bans everyone that posted it they'll learn their lesson. I said that you banned some of the people that posted it. We get the point, but he went back through the last two, or three OTT's and banned people throughout the day. Wubb even mentioned one got away, he even went so far to call them a lucky bastard.

Thats a power trip if I've ever heard one. Hell we even had a meatspin cagcast. I don't see the bid deal its more of a joke then anything. Most mods give people a warning, and delete their post but he never popped in and said stop it he gave everyone one day bans. This is the OTT people don't randomly come in here.
This OTT is almost 12 hours old, and almost done. I didn't really get to take part in it.
Night OTT

Kinda sad or awesome depending on how you look at it, but I found a girl who is in my new Warcraft guild who is just like me, lol. I feel attracted to her because she is so like me, lol.
...you keep count?
No if you click the post count next to the title of a thread you can see how many posts you have.
If I understood Cheapy correctly on the CAGcast, the VGC affiliation isn't being dropped. Cheapy just told the guy to stop posting and let things calm down so he can get paid with the sweet affiliate money.

You'll have to listen to the CAGcast whenever it comes out within the next day or so to hear it from the horse's mouth.

The mods should be able to ban the idiots in the CAGcast chat who just post the dumbest things they can think of. help1 just tried to get Cheapy to say pineapple the entire hour and a half show.
I thought you were a mod during that? And I copmletely agree. Help1 and Omex are fucking idiots. I dont think they were even listening to a word of the CAGcast. Why in the hell would Cheapy want to say pineapple in the middle of a podcast .. this is isnt kindergarten.

By the way, mornin OTT

Ugh...

So my favorite boss here is leaving for green pastures after getting shit on by the company. I can't blame him. Anyway, we went out for pizza and beer last night with all the guys that had worked for him. I'm not a big beer guy, but I enjoyed quite a bit of the ridiculously cheap PBR pitchers (I didn't really care for it, but it was so cheap).

Because we work for the university that I attend (he's was a full-time staff here, and I was part-time while a student), as authority figures (a la we're the jerks who break up parties and such), we usually avoid the bars right next to campus, but the group of us marched into the local's favorite, down a shot of Three Kings (maybe?). Then my boss went over to where they were doing karaoke.

Now my boss sings in a band, and was a music major, so he can actually sing. The local guy who goes from karaoke night to karaoke night did an inspiring version of "Hello" by Lionel Richie first, and then my boss went up and sang "Bohemian Rhapsody."

I've seen some incredible things in my life, but he hit like every night, and the whole bar was going nuts.

What a great time, too bad he's leaving.
SAT Round 2 = great success.
2250/2400 overall.
720 math, 770 reading, and 760 writing.

Very nice,

Where are you looking at?
Very nice,

Where are you looking at?
Probably undergrad at UT (quite a good school and very cheap and convenient since I'm in town; I also have a brother going to college a year after me, so my parents are trying to keep our costs down) and then transferring elsewhere for my graduate degree.

Better hit up jPod on AIM and get his thoughts on UT. ;)

Seriously though I bet UT is a fun school. Good sports teams to root for too. (These things are important factors  )

UT is right there in Austin, right? I'd still get out of your parent's place and live on campus unless money dictates that you can't.

Another quick story,

I interned for a film festival for a while, and this year when they came back to Boston, I was part of their annual humorous intro movie, which involved the new intern and I getting into a fight. At one point, the girl looks up my facebook profile (which was shown to the crowd of 1,000 or so).

Sure enough, I got a facebook friend request from someone that was there. I accepted as the guy sent me a message saying he saw me and thought it'd be funny to friend me.

I just found out, this guy is pretty infamous... yikes.

jPod's probably read it already .

But yeah, UT would be a good school (#1 party school in the US and in the top 20 in the US IIRC!) and I love Austin.
If I get me some scholarships though, who knows?

I've always heard Arizona was the #1 party school, but UT is definately up there.

Dude no way. You know as well as I do that Texas State > UT for partying. And I'm not playing the rival card here (because I don't give a shit), but I'd put A&M in front of UT also.

Now, UT has cooler shit to do, and a wider variety of things to do, and WAY cooler people than the other two places, so I'd prefer it.

Local Best Buy just let me know that Pinky and the Brain is unavailable for pick-up. Only took them 4 days to check stock. Thanks guys!

Four days? Damn. The one and only time I did instore pickup I was able to walk in get my stuff within a few hours.

Yeah when it's in stock I typically get the response fairly fast. But the two times they haven't been able to fill the order it's taken them days to tell me. Poor CS.

I don't intend to go to the "Let's go get shitfaced!" brand of partys anyways, so it's kinda irrelevant. Probably shouldn't have mentioned it =p.

Anyways, I'm super late for class. Later OTT!

You should complain to hq. Maybe you'll get a coupon out of it

They do offer to ship it to you for free when this happens. I might take them up on that.

Circuit City gives you a GC if it isn't ready for pickup in 25 minutes or something like that. You don't even wait for a confirmation, just place the order and they guarantee it will be waiting.

What do you want to major in?
Which is why I don't like preordering anything at EB/GS, unless I either have credit to burn or it's a LE/CE-type game.
If EB/GS treated not being able to fill a pre-order like a major fucking deal I might consider pre-ordering there. But they don't. Their attitude is 'Well we sold 20 preorders and only got in 5 units, you should get one off our 3rd shipment in 4 months.' As if that is perfectly acceptable.

Of course I very rarely want to pay full price for a game on release day anyway. Plus you can find most games these days at other stores on release day, systems on the other hand...

Unfortunately.

Anyone know the fastest way to raise a credit score?
I'm in the "good" range and want to get to "great".

I've been paying bills on time for some time now, after having trouble on an old credit card.
Close out old accounts you're not using.
Keep paying on-time, and more than the minimums.
Look into consolidating multiple accounts into one card, with a lower APR.
Actually the age of your oldest account is a factor in your score so closing out old accounts you aren't using is a bad idea if one of them is your oldest account.

Your ratio of available credit to current debt is also a factor and I've heard it's best to just keep accounts open even if you won't use them to keep that ratio low. (For example you carry a 5K balance and cancel all your cards except the one with the debt and a $8K limit. Now you have a greater than 50% debt to avail credit ratio.) I'm not 100% sure on how that truly effects a score though.

Having a bunch of pulls on your report is also a slight ding, so if you want to improve your score don't apply for a ton of credit cards which will all be pulling your report.

I'd check fatwallet's forums as I think there is a thread or threads somewhere dealing with this exact topic. (Try the Finance forum.)
So I'm probably going to see Tool in St. Louis tomorrow, with the wife of one of my friends. Should be interesting.
Coincidentally I've had Prison Sex stuck in my head all morning

Thanks Wubb, I'll look into that as well.
I definitely don't go around applying for credit, so I'm not worried about pulls at least.
You're back too soon. It doesnt make sense for me to go:

Did you find an adult to help you with that screwdriver yet?
I'm at work.
And,.

After work I'll ask the big kids if they can help me.

Just went on a mile-long walk to take a photo of a sign that wasn't there.

Good excuse to get out of the office, even if it wasn't productive. :)
