Wait...who is Nina?

Although, Philosophy was one of my majors (yes, I did plan for a while on teaching), so she can't be that bad...
"I'm too good for job's I'm qualified for, and don't want to do the work to get ones I'm not qualified for"
You know me! JK. I do plan to work for the one's I'm not qualified for. Just venting. ;)
MCR is money
Joke account.
I want a job, but one that I like. I'm scared of commitment. I think whatever I get into, I'll be stuck there hating it and won't be able to leave because there's nothing else out there. Plus, I'm in Mississippi. The only thing you can find here is fast food and retail. If that.
Would you rather work in a job you hate so you can live until the economy gets better and you can find another job, or would you rather live off mommy and daddy's dime?

I'm a newbie. I just stumbled on this part of the forum last night. :whee:

You could be a fluffer for a gay porn studio.

It was too easy. I guess Juggers has a few years to go.

I meant to put the eyeroll thingy on there to indicate my sarcasm, but forgot.

Between this and "chromozone" - this has been a red letter posting day for me!

Anybody ever been to D.C. and gone to the Lincoln Memorial? That reflecting pool is long as hell.
Only in Fallout 3.

Mommy and daddy's dime? I actually do "work" if you want to call it that, but it's just enough to pay the bills. Trying to find something better.

My advice is to keep whatever job you have and hope unemployment doesn't go up much more, then worry about finding a job when everyone who's extremely more qualified than you who has been laid off stop taking all the entry-level jobs.
Only in Fallout 3.
It was actually fairly accurate to the actual length. I remember when I was in D.C. and walking down there, we got to the edge of the Reflecting Pool and I recall saying, "Holy shit..." We also passed a fat ass albino squirrel on the side of it.

I don't mind living off my parents for the time being, but I do find it a bit fucked up to spend their money on booze and PS3 gaimez. I need a job to support my habits.
I'm a newbie. I just stumbled on this part of the forum last night. :whee:
And you survived this bunch so far? Congrats on that.

And Liquid....I won't slag living off of mommy and daddy's money. It's too late for me, so I have to look for rich cougars now...
Thanks for uploading Les Astronautes Liquid 2. I had been wanting to see that, but I was too lazy to track down a copy.
Get a Karagarga or Cinemaggedon account. It's on both sites.

I'm waiting to hear back from the pharmacy schools I applied to. Hopefully, I'll be in sunny California this time next year. If not, then fuck it, I'm going to have to find something.

Should've cooked up some squirrel stew.

Actually, I'm secretly hoping to find a random ass job at some game company near Seattle or Redmond. That'd be sweet.

Problem is, I think my major is a joke and whenever people ask me to explain it or tell them what its about, I never have a good answer because I think its shit.

Its like having an english degree, a communications degree, and a design/fine arts degree all in one, and not a damn one have any use that I have found.

What's your degree, ck?
And Liquid....I won't slag living off of mommy and daddy's money. It's too late for me, so I have to look for rich cougars now...
I'm not sure what you said.

I was actually going to make the same comment...but since Shrike's not around, that makes me the old man of the group...and I'm creepy enough as it is, thank you.

I just love the internets. Bring your best, I can handle it.

Learn C# and say you're a tools programmer.

Liquid, a cougar is an older woman, looking for younger dudes. Since I can't live off my parent's money, that's my only option - to find a rich older woman to support me.

Best of both worlds
Liberal arts/tech degree
has employers recruiting

By Gail Miller
Contributing writer

A new WSU degree combining technology and liberal arts has employers eagerly seeking qualified graduates. The degree is called digital technology and culture (DTC).

Three concentrations

There is a 24-credit core that all students take. Then they choose from among three concentration areas. The most popular concentration is media authoring; these students typically are hired to do things such as Web design.

A second concentration on technology and culture has prepared two of its graduates for graduate school. They are pursuing degrees in library and information science and technical and professional writing.

One graduate of the third concentration, informatics, does database management.

“Students who have database management skills and can digitize and archive print and visual materials are commanding the upper end of the scale right now,” Ericsson said. “Those who have good Web development and technical writing skills are being offered around the middle of the scale.”

The DTC program is housed in the English department on all three campuses, but students take courses from anthropology, computer science, fine arts and sociology as well.
My grandpa gave me a book of "Classic American short stories" today. I started Sleepy Hollow while taking a #2 and really liked it. A book I might actually read.

Oh I'm sure you could if you were good enough, but tons of people in web design now thanks to its relative ease.

And who is going to want to spend money on a website in this economy? : /

The problem for me right now isn't to find a job (still at the same job for the last 7-8 years) but finding an appartment/house. There's either nothing available or its way out of my price range.
sorry ck, the candycock is put away for the year.
I read that as "cockcandy."

I think I need to re-evaluate my life thus far.
