History;
Little is known about the history of the OTT. The Off topic topic (or Off topic thread) history goes so far back that it actually predates the CAG archives. The last official OTT to be made that is still listed on the site was made on October 23, 2004. On 11-22-2004 all OTT's were banned acould not be created (see info from this thread http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29436). The thread shows that there was an incident of sorts that led to the "banning" of OTTs. This was shortly followed by an unbanning of the OTTs with the understanding that all OTTs would be closed down at 500 posts for the sake of the server. Since then an OTT has constantly been around for lost posters to let their fingers flow freely. The first OTT created after the banning was appropriately named The Return of the OTT!!! Since then OTT's of all different sorts have been created.
Making:
Since it's inception, the OTT has been home to creativity and boredom. This combination has led to all sorts of titles for the OTT and all sorts of discussions within. Followed is a list of all the OTT's still hanging around on the server.

Future:
So what does the future hold for the OTT and it's OTTers? No one knows for sure. Given the current state of global warming, we may see a rapid decrease in posting in the OTT as computers melt and OTTers disintigrate. On the other hand, the use of computers everywhere added to the miniaturization of said products may lead to a rapid increase of posting, leading to the closing of OTT's faster than they can even be read. Future:
So what does the future hold for the OTT and it's OTTers? No one knows for sure. Given the current state of global warming, we may see a rapid decrease in posting in the OTT as computers melt and OTTers disintigrate. On the other hand, the use of computers everywhere added to the miniaturization of said products may lead to a rapid increase of posting, leading to the closing of OTT's faster than they can even be read.
