I need to see if I can get sony to fix this T.V. without a proof of purchase. I am ALMOST positive it wasn't even shipped to stores until spring last year. It was manufactured October 2007. There has to be a way!

Called my grandpa, and he doesn't have the receipt anymore, and he paid in cash. fuck.

I just took apart my 360 hard drive just because. I'm thinking about putting a 120gb in there. I don't need to do it, i just want to.
Why were you even looking for Sailor Moon in the first place Rocko?
It's a good show.
I've been wondering for a few days now, but what comic is in your sig temp?
It depicts the trials and tribulations of Clark from The Thing.

anyone have any experience with having two Operating Systems installed like XP and Vista and being able to switch between them?

I really need XP, but don't want to uninstall Vista.

The DVD Burner in my current comp is a peice of crap, but the one in my old one works like a charm... The current one (upgraded firmware and all) has SATA connections, but the old one has IDE, and I don't have any IDE slots in my computer. Anyone have any experience with those SATA to IDE things? I really don't feel like dropping $25ish on a new burner, especially when I have one (that I know works) already.

get frosty on the horn! :D
I got in a huge order for :sunglassed: 360s and I need to switch out computers with my stuff, but I have to downgrade to XP...

having 2-3 games installed, with god knows how many XBLA games and RB DLC, and still having 80+ gb free is totally nice.

frosty, you recommend i just delete Vista and put XP on?

I'd like to have both and I have 2 external 500 GBs as well as 1TB internal so I know I have the room for both, but I have absolutely no experience messing around with OS, let alone multiple at once.

Driving home today I saw a house burning down! :whee:

I parked on the side of the road and watched it for a while. It was HUGE, I was over 100 yards away, and I could feel the heat like I was standing next to it. Even though it was freezing outside with strong cold wind.

EDIT: Do you have a good comp Wolve?

I have Vista Ultimate and I like it better than XP. I think a lot of people that complain about Vista have old crappy PCs.

what do you need to know, good sir?

Oh, I just saw the above post about you needing XP.

Installing XP along side Vista isn't hard at all. Just pop in the disc and it will show you what to do.
Never had a problem with my DC. In fact, I'm sure it still works without a problem.

Never kid about tots :shame:

They had a sammich named after Pixie? *ducks*
"Custom" discs were kinda hard on the laser.

I miss my tri-boot of Win98, Win2k (main OS) and XP (before SP1). I tried to get a fourth Linux partition on there, but I screwed up my MBR. I fixed that and decided not to mess with it further.

WHen I reformatted and decided to go XP only, I meant to set it up to dual boot with Linux...but never got around to it.

just saw this... fucking with the standard WinXP boot loader isn't bad, I don't think, but my experience is limited... i'm used to setting up linux on a machine already imaged with windows and then configuring grub or lilo to do the boot loading.

but if your pc gives you the standard boot dialogue before kicking into loading windows, you might be able to tweak it -- you'd just have to do the following:

(1) run the install for windows xp -- either have a new partition ready created or hope you can do it in the install mechanism ... in linux i'm used to it -- in windows, i'm usually used to destroying all partitions -- you may want to acquire partition magic and make the partitions prior to install.

(2) the install may add the correct shit to the boot loader... if it doesn't, well, i'd get back to you (i'm going to look now), but you'd find the best way to edit the bootloader from vista/xp and add an entry for the missing OS.

Edit: here's the MS how-to on getting it done if it's not done for you when you do the second OS install:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022

If you have problems figuring that out, I'm sure I can help, just let me know.

(3) so long as you're dealing with straight windows, you should be able to use any file system type on the external drives and be aces... the problem occurs if you're using storage like that in linux, or on the PS3, or something, as other OSes don't like NTSC, so FAT32 is your common denominator in terms of file systems.

I really want to setup a Linux partition on my HDD. However, I can't because for GRUB doesn't like my RAID setup, and I have no HDD space free.
Vince from Shamwow is actually kinda hot. :whistle2:k
he'd be hotter if you could stick that godamm shamwow in his mouth so that you didn't have to listen to him.

Sometimes Vista doesn't play nice with .
Also, personally, my laptop isn't a year old, but it needs more RAM to handle vista properly.

yea i'm thinking i'm just gonna go back to XP, i don't use Vista much anyway.
I really need to do it soon though cause I'm gonna be busy.
