Wolve, PM me when you make your next order.
I will...
Might be sooner than I thought originally, we'll see.
Going to delete/install Vista/XP.
just saw this... fucking with the standard WinXP boot loader isn't bad, I don't think, but my experience is limited... i'm used to setting up linux on a machine already imaged with windows and then configuring grub or lilo to do the boot loading.

but if your pc gives you the standard boot dialogue before kicking into loading windows, you might be able to tweak it -- you'd just have to do the following:

(1) run the install for windows xp -- either have a new partition ready created or hope you can do it in the install mechanism ... in linux i'm used to it -- in windows, i'm usually used to destroying all partitions -- you may want to acquire partition magic and make the partitions prior to install.

(2) the install may add the correct shit to the boot loader... if it doesn't, well, i'd get back to you (i'm going to look now), but you'd find the best way to edit the bootloader from vista/xp and add an entry for the missing OS.

Edit: here's the MS how-to on getting it done if it's not done for you when you do the second OS install:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022

If you have problems figuring that out, I'm sure I can help, just let me know.

(3) so long as you're dealing with straight windows, you should be able to use any file system type on the external drives and be aces... the problem occurs if you're using storage like that in linux, or on the PS3, or something, as other OSes don't like NTSC, so FAT32 is your common denominator in terms of file systems.
NTSC a new file system i haven't heard of yet?;)

when i got out of the shower, i went to dry off my feet and noticed a huge lump on the back of my right heel. turns out i had a blister from all of that walking at disneyworld last week. shit was almost the size of a grape :puke:
for some reason, i think i should take offense to that:bomb:
Error.
Error.
the confusion came from him saying he had a hot chick laying in his lap. not a sloppy old hag in ratty pj's.
having 2-3 games installed, with god knows how many XBLA games and RB DLC, and still having 80+ gb free is totally nice.
I already have a 120gb, though. I'm doing it just to do it! Stop me!

That $$$$a is going to have to pay for it. I wish the drives cost less than $45. I have enough paypal to cover, but it'll be a tough sell to the wife.

That explains that...I didn't believe her when Pixie said she was going over to Sara's house.

Is there a cable that I can use to power a CPU fan via USB? I'm thinking about mounting a fan inside of my entertainment center to keep my Boringstation 3 cool.

I want the fan to cut on whenever the PS3 does, and I figure that hooking it up via USB would do the trick. Does such a cable exist?

If someone can make this:

A usb pole dancer, I'm sure that that is possible

In case you can't see the video. Just strip the cable on any old usb thing, cut off the non red and black wires. Connect the red and black of your fan to the red and black of the usb and wrap the individual wires in electrical tape.

Yeah, I looked at it. I just ordered a few USB cables from monoprice--why don't I have any?--and will test it out later this week.
What are you up to munch? Not something the cops are going to be questioning us about later right?
As long as you don't snitch on him, we should be fine. ;)
I kind of want to buy that 18.5" monitor at Staples for $85 so I can play the Wii/PS2 and 360 simultaneously.
...

This is a joke? Why exactly would you want to do that?

The pound is that weak?

That shocks me, considering the pound was just under $2 when I went to England a few years ago, and the dollar has fallen since then.

I have people over a lot and it's a real drag moving my systems around to other TVs.

Oh, I thought you meant that YOU could be playing two systems at once.

Haha, no.

Speaking of making moving things easier, I also want those Mad Catz portable drums that sit on a tabletop or whatever, but there's no place to put them either in my room or at my GFs house where I always take my drums.

Which is disappointing because they're supposed to be pretty nice.

Ya know. I thought about that after I paid for it. No one mentioned any issues. I know there's different region Blu-Rays, but I think the players have to enforce the region lock? Or something, I dunno, I just hope that shit works since it's sitting right next to me and I'm not returning to the UK.
