It turns out I'd be working in a Best Buy (but not affilated), no kiosk, walking around and randomly asking strangers about their internet and phone services and convincing them to join.

I'd be a "back up", meaning I'd wait for the call from 9:30 am - 11:30 am in case someone didn't show up, then I'd go to work. It's only Saturday and Sunday.

One, I've never even heard of the position, two, it sounds absolutely annoying and is the type of thing I despise, and three, my social anxiety means I'm not going to go up to random strangers and start gabbing about them unless I'm officially working for a retail store and have a uniform.

Yikes, ya. I did this stuff before at my last job. Standing around handing out flyers on a college campus, trying to convice people you'll not a scam. Fun stuff.

But ya, I enjoy doing promotions and marketing, but that is not the way to do it. My current job I get to plan events and market them without having to deal with anyone but co-workers and the speaker or what not.

I think my biggest problem is I'm not a very good "used car salesman" type. If someone isn't interested, I'm not going to hound them about it, because I wouldn't wish that upon myself.

If you don't like going up to random people and selling them something, and I'm sure the job will have either incentive or requirements for sales/hour or something, you're probably going to hate having a job doing it.

I could get it from $30 for Rhino, but I don't feel like driving 45 minutes both ways to get it when it will just sit here all weekend and collect dust.

I should probably go pick up my books. At least they aren't too expensive (hopefully I don't spend more than 300 ). I think I need close to 25 books total (already bought 6). Three of my classes are responsible for 19 of the books.

Edit: Cancel that, just called and they don't have any. I think the employees at this EB are buying them. This is TWICE the same store has received Wii's according to the Itrackr.com but when I call they tell me there is none instock.....

I have a flat screen LCD mounted on my wall, so when I play the wii the sensor bar is either way to high on top of the TV or way way too low when below it. I just play with it on top and just get used to it.

I am a history and political science major (well after this semester I will be) and most of them are regular books but the cost still adds up. The 19 book figure I stated earlier was from 3 of the 4 history classes I am taking (the other has no book).

I decided to pass on going to the bookstore until tomorrow though since by the time I get back it will be rush hour on the beltline and the only reason I really wanted to go is to check and see if the guitars at the target in Cary dropped.
 
I just discovered that some people collect gift cards. Meaning cards that have been used up ($0 value) or never activated. Interesting to me. Seeing as how pretty much everyone tosses those suckers, but there are tons of different designs that are constantly being refreshed, I could see it being something that becomes valuable in a couple decades. Only problem is that since they are plastic they are going to last forever no matter how they are stored. Pretty much anything short of a fire won't damage them a bit.

That said, I'm going to keep tossing any I have in the trash once they are used up.
 
I have five bucks on one of those awesome Wii Target gift cards.

I should go use it. And keep the gift card. For it is awesome.

Ok... the DS Lite works perfectly on the Nintendo Wifi USB adapter, but I can't get the Wii to get more than one bar for signal strength.

What the hell am I doing wrong?
