Okay, I am currently on hold with Microsoft after having to, literally, scream at a CSR. Not fun when I feel like shit and my head is pounding - but if you keep asking me for my MSN account when I have never had an MSN account, then keep calling me "Neil Edwards" after I tell you that is not my name and refuse to allow me to speak to a supervisor, well, I may lose my temper.
This all started when I received a letter today from Microsoft about not being able to charge my credit card. Even though it says MSNIA (MSN Internet Access), I decided to check with XboxLive. I checked my bank, and my payment went through a long time ago and talking to support, verified this and they were unsure why I would have gotten a bill. I actually had a rather pleasant CSR for Live and we checked my account for any recent activity and everything was fine.
So, I followed the letter and called MSNIA support. They told me they have nothing to do with Live and was just going to transfer me. I stopped them, explaining that I already spoken to Live and my statement states that it is MSNIA...and that I shouldn't even receive a bill since I have been paid up for a while and my bank confirms this. My line of questioning is if this is a glitch or if XBOX billing shows up as MSNIA (which I have never seen before) and she tells me no. So I ask why MSNIA would bill me for anything other than Live, and she says she has to look up my MSN account - which I have NEVER had. We kind of butted heads on this point, as she tried looking up my number, address, name etc but didn't understand I had no MSN information to help her with. I was polite, explaining that I wanted to make sure this isn't ID theft (ironic, since I now know the name of the guy who has my old number, thanks to MSN) or related to Live, so I asked for a supervisor. After about the fifth time of being called Neil (And having given my name before and correcting her), I finally lost it and demanded to speak to a supervisor who can understand that I have never had a MSN account, therefor, could not give her a MSN address.
So, I sit on Hold. I'm not too worried, since they seem to be unable to bill me...I just want to know what they were trying to bill me for...
