Ouendan 2 $39.99 Shipped at YesAsia

Like A Breath

CAGiversary!
Well, technically it's $5 off any purchase of over $30, but Ouendan 2 is the hottest deal. They're having free shipping right now, plus these coupons(*Can't stack the coupons, use the second one if the first one dies):

For $5 off for new customers, use the coupon code: WGASIA5
For $3 off Ouendan 2 for any customer, use: DSOTO2G

Ouendan 2 is $45 here, plus free shipping and the coupon. Should be $39.99 total for a shipping time of 5-8 days.
...Isn't $45 minus $8 $37? Unless I'm missing something here.
You can't stack coupons. I just posted the second one in case the first one dies or someone isn't a new customer.

Thanks OP!

I used the WGASIA5 coupon ordering the original Ouendan long ago.

I've been waiting for another coupon or something, and $3 off is much appreciated. I don't think I'll be able to beat $42 shipped for quite a long time.

Oh, alright. Thanks.

I didn't even know this game was coming out. I never even beat Elite Beat Agents because of the soundtrack and was really looking forward to a true sequel to the Japanese release. I hate paying so much for a DS game but the last one was so good and had so much replay value it was ridiculous.
Oh snaps, this is already out?!
As of yesterday. Although Playasia started selling it two days ago.

The original came out in July, 2005, though, so it has been close to two years.

i dont know if this $5 off code still works for new customers but when i preordered ouendan 2 last month it worked its: SA5OFF

also if anyone wanted $5 off the original ouendan use: OSU5

*sigh* if it was a couple of days earlier. its too late now since it shipped a day ago. i was going to post and ask if theres any coupons.

Is Ouendan easy to play if you don't speak Japanese? I wanna pick up the first one... but I'm not sure. I didn't have any trouble playing Jump Super Stars

You'll be just fine. If you're really worried go play a round or two of Elite Beat Agents. They have exactly the same gameplay.

Watch out though; Yes-Asia takes forever to ship games, especially if you choose thre Free Shipping option. You'll have to wait at least two weeks to get your copy, but the low price might be worth the wait.

This was not my experience whatsoever. I purchased the first game through them, with free shipping and had it in hand in about 5 days.

Heh, I did the anti-CAG thing for this game because I couldn't stand not being without it and bought it for $59 from J&L in NYC -- yes, over retail, but I didn't have to wait for shipping and, more important, I could lord it over everyone because I got the game last Wednesday. :) I used YesAsia to buy Ouendan 1 for fairly cheap, so I guess I should have seen this coming.

The game's fanastic, and totally easy to pick up even if you can't speak a lick of Japanese. If you're worried, though, I figured out what the menu buttons do and wrote up an English guide for our site. It's really, really simple, though -- if you've played EBA, the menu options are almost exactly the same, although now you have multiple slots to save replays, which is great.

The gameplay is the same as EBA and the number circles that pop up on the bottom are in English so it's easy. The story that goes on in the top screen while playing can be a bit confusing but to me trying to figure out why some kid needs cheerleaders to do his homework is part of the appeal of these wacky Japanese games.

And after playing EBA (which is also good), I've found I almost prefer not being able to understand what's going on. It adds to the charm. :)

I was about to pay full price for this since I play the original one on a weekly basis, but this is an excellent deal. Thanks a lot OP!
I ordered from YesAsia on Sunday and the game shipped on Monday.
I ordered on Saturday and it arrived yesterday.

Osu!

I tried this game and while it is definitely a lot fun, I have to say that I really wish I could understand the story. Part of the fun of Elite Beat Agents is the wacky stories. While there is some fun in trying to figure out what is going on in the Japanese stories, I found that I pretty much couldn't figure out any of it, and I felt like I was missing something. What I'd really like is if they'd make US verison of this game, but without changing the music at all. Keep the Japanese in the songs, just translate the stories and menus. Alas, they probably won't do that. :(
