Fox News Channel Signs Zell Miller
Georgia's outgoing Senator Zell Miller, who butted heads with MSNBC's Chris Matthews during the Republican National Convention, has been signed by Fox News Channel as a regular contributor. A news release from FNC said only that Miller will be seen on a variety of programs staring Jan. 6. Today's (Wednesday) Washington Post quoted FNC program director Kevin Magee as saying, "We will plug him in wherever we can use him."

I am sure he is going to be fair and balanced

Just as fair and balanced as Allen Combs and all the other liberals who work at Fox.

Not to mention they need all the help they can get against the MAJORITY of news networks that are liberal.
I think Zell Miller is Fox's version of Affirmative Action for the democrats.
But Zell Miller is not really a Democrat, he is a radical right wing neo-conservative who calls himself a Democrat.

BINGO! Exactly my point.

Now would be a good time to invest in the civilian space travel industry.
How about you head up first and let us know how it is up there?

The only important part of that sentence is 'calls himself a Democrat'. Because of that, Fox will be able to boast that they present both the Republican and Democratic points of view, thereby making them Fair and Balanced (tm).

As MrBadExample said, Fox only presents the far right and the extreme far right, and Zell will represent the far right. The fun part will be that they'll still go out of their way to make him look like an insane left-wing loonie.

As typical for the freaks on this board - any democrat that doesn't hold extreme left views is not considered a democrat and is ostracized. So much for the party of tolerance.

Was it you or PAD that posted a topic saying you were crying with joy after his speech at the RNC?

First of all...who said the dems were a party of complete tolerance. We are moreso than the GOP but for our own ideas. We don't have to take everyone who calls themselves a democrat.

Secondly, it is not that he doesn't hold extreme left wing views (are there any other left wing views to you... ), it is that he freaking endorsed the other party for president and spoke at their convention. It's not rocket science, scrub.

Lest we forget, it was a Democrat that got America entrenched in Vietnam (JFK). I think Zell Miller is attempting to follow in that honored tradition.

Less talk, more space frontier scouting.

I forgot how inclusive the GOP is when it's not attacking RINO's (Republicans In Name Only) like John McCain.
I'm hoping that Zell challenges more people to duels and Fox broadcasts those.
For him to challenge people to duels would need him to meet people to disagree that Bush is a god-like figure of mythical power and goodness, and lets face it, he's not going to meet anyone like that on Fox. Still, it WOULD be pretty sweet.

If FOX wants to have a show with Zell that people will watch, they should pair him up with Al Shartpon. We could then start a pool on when the duel will start :)

My money is on them both being dead before the show's opening animation finishes playing :p

McCain isn't close to being a RINO. See Arlen Specter, Olympia Snow, Jim Jeffords (Now an Independent.) and Lincoln Chaffee if you want a more accurate portrayal of RINO's.

BTW, I still voted for Specter in the general election.

If you don't think McCain is a solid right-wing politician you're smoking something. Look at his voting record and get back to me. You only think that because his disagreements with the Republican Party are so high profile (he likes the attention evidently).

I wasn't claiming that McCain wasn't solidly right-wing. I was offering him up as an example of a Republican that other Republicans like to attack for not being far enough to the right. PAD offered better examples such as Arlen Specter.
