my FAT ps3 I bought in 2006 has died 3-4 times over the past four months, my friend fixes it free everytime, but thats getting old. it seems to be done.

So is getting a refurbished one really a good idea? I missed the sweet amazon bundle deal ($199) so I guess I better snag this before its done! prob not a better deal..
