Overclocking an FX-6300

I currently have my 6300 clocked at 4.0ghz on stock cooler. I have couple questions.

1. Would a bigger overclock make a difference in gaming?

2. Which cooler should I get to overclock. I was thinking of getting a Coolermaster 212 EVOhttp://www.tomshardware.com/forum/362829-28-overclocking-6300# and overclocking to 4.5ghz. Is that good and can the cooler handle that? If not other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks. Or is a coolermaster n520 better? I can get one for $5 more.
 
With that kind of an overclock on a STOCK cooler, how is your CPU not dead yet? To answer your question, overclocking furthur will not yield significant gains.
 
I have an 8 core 8120 thats 3.1ghz stock but I have it running perfectly stable (and very fast) at 4.0ghz. I use the 212 evo plus. It was kind of a pain to install but seems well worth it
