Overlord Xbox360: $39.95 Pre-Order from Amazon.com

Damnit...fatigue diminishes discipline. Oh well, maybe they won't honor this price anyway. And that looks like Stripe on the cover, so how bad can this be?

I think that must have been a mistake. The pre-order option is gone and replaced with an 'email me when product becomes available' option. Too bad too, I thought the game looked really decent.

I saw this on Amazon.com last night too and placed an order without thinking twice. Definitely a price mix-up with the PC version, which is now listed on the site (I didn't see it before). Hopefully Amazon will honor the price considering it's a $20 difference. I pre-ordered WoW: TBC CE from them when it was $60 for a couple days, which was $10 less than the MSRP. So cross your fingers guys. :)

Drunkenly ordered last night. For once in my life, I made a decision wasted and didnt regret it when I woke up in the morning.

My only experience with Amazon errors or glitches was the $5-per-order discount from this past winter. They honored that, but that was a site-wide problem. What's the precedent here? Will they just cancel the $39.95 orders in all likelihood? Since they rectified it fairly quickly, does that suggest that they'll honor those of us that preordered at that price? Or does Amazon do some sort of credit/coupon compromise solution for a future order?

They wouldn't change the price to full MSRP without warning, would they?

Damn... missed out on the low price preorder, but I know that Amazon has a price guarantee where if you order an item at a certain price, you'll never pay more. So if this was sold by Amazon (vice one of their dealers) you can still get the $40 price (lucky bastards).

They had the exact same price screw up on pre-orders of Rainbow Six: Vegas for the 360 last year. I got in on it before they fixed it and sure enough, they honored the $39.99 price. I think you guys have a good chance of them fulfilling your orders at that price. They def. can't charge you more then what you ordered it for so the only other thing they could do would be to cancel them.

Sounds good and thanks for the example. If they cancel it by chance, I'll be sure to get it for even less somewhere down the road.

I wonder if (just about) everytime something like this happens, some scapegoat loses his or her job. If so, that takes a lot of enjoyment out of the "deal".
