Paging Dr. Stiles...please report to the Trauma Center thread

I played the first two operations, and man, they are tough when you're running on 2 hours sleep. I think I'll try agian tomorrow.

Wow - sounds like you were making it as authentic as possible.

making it feel real, huh?

I'd get this while you still can. I spoke to some people who worked on the localization and even they had to go out and find their own copy.

Also, if you're waiting to beat the DS version before playing this, put it down and play Wii instead.

I didnt read the whole thread so I apoligize if someone already posted this but...
I wanted to say something about the ads in magazines. Im looking at dec, Game Informer page 79. Anyway, Nozomi has her hand up like shes going to give someone a prostate exam of some shit. Its pretty funny.

Ok. Great game but I have one problem / question.
Spoilers up until the end of chapter 5.
When you beat chapter 5 the game gives you a summary of the events in the DS version of chapter 6 (the actual gameplay is excluded on the Wii). Afterwards, if you have finished the "Z" missions you unlock the Wii exclusive chapter 6.

My question is why couldn't the DS chapter 6 (the final chapter) have been included and this "all new chapter" been added as 7? I am sure there would have been plenty of room on the disc...

This makes me sort of angry as I never played the DS version. Going straight to the Wii game, I expected to get the full game plus a bit extra. Instead I feel a bit cheated, so to speak.

Anyway does anyone else feel the same way? Am I missing out on anything? Thanks

Wow, that fucking blows.

I don't think I can pass any of this missions of the first try.

The first Z mission

My brother and I spent 4 minutes staring at the first bone piece trying to figure out where it goes... no luck

So has anyone beat this game? If so how long is it? And would you say it's the second best singler player title besides Zelda?

That mission is a bitch at first. I think the game is a little too picky about how things fit.

I had to look online to find out how to get that first bone bent back into place.
how the hell was I supposed to figure out that I needed to tap the analog stick to set it?!
then after that, about an hour of figuring out how the pieces go together

till I had to figure out how to get that last bone fragment out.

I sat there for 10 minutes trying to adjust it. I had to see the ultra-shameful game over screen twice!

"This wasn't even a fatal injury. I messed up."

and of course, that's followed by the sad story of the doctor disappearing off the face of the Earth afterwards, with everyone agreeing she shouldn't have been a doctor in the first place

i'm at chapter 6. some tough tough missions. i might actually have to swap hands and use my good hand for the precision stuff :) i was hoping i could get through with my weaker hand.

That's weird what people are saying about the Z Mission
about the bone fragments.
I played and I just did it. My BF had such a hard time with it and I was confused. Maybe it's me that I just got it?

If you want to talk about a REAL bitch Z mission..
Did anyone else have a bit trouble with that damn kidney transplant?!?!?!?!?
After you do it, it's really easy.. but I was so confused and so stuck :(

Just finished the game...wait until you see the extra "perks" that are unlocked once you load a clear file. I dare say it's impossible...probably not, but i can't imagine accomplishing anything here.

Was anyone ever able to beat the game on the DS? It is one of my favorite games on the system and I cant save the last child......

Actually I dont understand mission Z-4 either.

After you connect the first two veins, I'm not being given the option to grab or cut anything further, even though the walkthrough gives me one more vein to connect to this big thing on the bottom, but I'm missing something before so I'm not gettnig the prompt.

What did everyone get on their first try through operations? I'm getting Cs consistently even after replaying previous ones I don't seem to improve.

I finally beat the game. I haven't even tried the extra missions yet but supposedly their difficulty is "extreme." Which is even more difficult than the hard mode, and I could barely beat many of the "easy" levels :(. Anyway I am still a little bit angry that they took out the DS version of chapter 6 and replaced it with a bit of text. Anyone else feel the same way.

I'm still playing through the first time, but I've got mostly C's, some B's, and an S on that bomb operation.

mostly Cs with some Ss and As. You have to go as fast as possible, get mostly "cool" ratings and not make any mistakes at all.

*raises hand*

Is there anything funky about the "star" mission? For some reason, no matter how many times I trace out the star, it doesn't accept it.

You really just have to make the closest approximation to the star as you can in five quick movements.

Problem on 1-6.. when you cut open the guy to take out tumors and his entire intestine is inflamed.. I feel so retarded, but after I take care of the tumors, it says treat the incision. I have no idea what she's talking about unless she wants me to close him up, and I can't do that as I haven't taken care of the inflammation.. help?

When? After you take out the last tumor? It doesn't really mean anything, you're just supposed to finish up like you've done to the other tumors.

I ran into this too....I don't remember exactly how I got past it. I think you need to use the ultrasound.

Did you fix the inflamed parts by injecting the blue liquid into them or by burning them off?

Nope. That's probably the problem. She was telling me to stitch up the wound or something but I was still zoomed in and couldn't find a way to zoom out to stitch it up.

i just went back and tried it. that was the one I got stuck on.

solution:
you inject all the little things with the blue stuff, then remove the tumors. After you get them all, use the ultrasound and the the nurse will tell you to check the whole intestine. then it'll zoom out after you check it.

I guess that's just a weird glitch in the game.

Gamefly sent this game to me like two days ago and I still havent got it. i usually receive games in a day. If I dont get it tomorrow, I am gonna be mad.

Ok. So who wants to come over and help with me a certain operation......

X2 Deftera
. ANY advice? ANY? ANY?....AT ALL?! To think.. I am on
the second X mission, out of 7 and I am going nuts!! Damn this game, DAMN it's SO good!! GRR

Wow. Mission 5-6 is impossible. The slowdown just kills it. The heartrate drops quickly, but the medecine I inject to raise it just reacts so damn slowly. I get to the last part where you need to remove it and her heartbeat just drops too quickly to get it done. Any help? I'm about to send this back to Gamefly just because of this.

You you know you can switch to easy on the fly, right?

Just to make sure, you're talking about the
Paraskevi, the tapeworm looking thing that starts in the intestines and moves its way up?
Once he's two pieces, leave one piece big and just keep him stunned periodically while you cut the other piece. Leave one of the two of the smaller pieces and repeat. That way you dont get too many of them in your way. They cant do anything as long as you keep them stunned, keeping them as few in number at once just makes it easier to keep them stunned.

Or as Gamefaqs put it:
1) Stun the 16
2) Cut
3) Stun both 8s
4) Cut ONE worm only
5) Stun the 8 and the two "4s"
6) Novice: Cut ONE 4 only, Expert: Cut both 4sRepeat and Remove the 2s

I am on easy.
That is the mission I'm refering to, though I'm not sure why it was so tough since the others were not that hard. For whatever reason, I never thought to try it that way. Thanks for the tip.

All I did was
Zap the bastards, cut the bastards (as many as I could), sucture like 2-4 wounds EXTREMELY QUICKLY, and zap the bastards again...cut the bastards again..etc
I had no trouble with that one. Just an upsetting warning...it gets worse lol (especially with THAT GUILT)

This is why I love this game. I'll get stuck on a mission and find it insanely hard, yet someone else will find it simple, and vice versa of course.

Ahh it's nice to see a whole new generation of Trauma Center frustration.

Yea im going to pick this game up. Ive heard soo much good stuff about this version and the ds version, and havent played either yet. So, ill post back here later how i like it

I am playing through on easy right now and Im on 6-7. I have gotten here without too much of a problem although I have gotten stuck on one or two missions for a while. I am gonna play through on normal pretty soon.

TC has only hit my Wii once since day one, it is quite fustrating. The only consolation I can give it is the fact that I'm playing Zelda... so ya.

Wish they had an operations manual so you can keep track of how to handle operations you've done in the past.

How do you take care of tumors again? I'm on the "I Want to Live" operation and there's that moving blue thing I find with the sonar and I can't remember the procedure to take out a tumor.

That's not a tumor. How you get rid of it:
1. Use sonar to locate it.
2. Cut it out with scalpel.
3. Shoot it with the laser until it dies.
4. Rinse and repeat depending on how many you may have.

Isn't that the
Kiryaki Guilt
? I don't think tumors are in this mission. I could be wrong but
if it is the Kiryaki, you have to locate them with ultrasound, cut them with the scalpel, and then laser them a few times while they are exposed.
