I am debating getting a PAL version 3DS. Before I ultimately make my decision, I have a few questions before importing one/getting one on feebay.
1) When I log onto the eshop, will it connect me to the UK estore? Or will it check the U.S. ip address and keep me from doing so? Will it attempt to log me into the US eshop and time out because of some "connection issues?"
2) This isn't a MAIN concern, but I just figured I would ask... In the past, games have come to the U.S. before in the U.K. Is that more of a thing of the past? Do they release at the same times now (US and UK) or is it still that we get the releases first? (Just curious because Bravely Second released across the pond and isn't even out here just yet, so it would be nice and more of a plus for me to get one imported.)
3) This is the very least of my concerns, but I figured that maybe a UK gamer would see this and add a few cents... Are the games as heavily edited in the UK as they are here in the states? Would be nice to get and play some games that aren't as heavily edited so I can experience the games the way they were mean't to be articulated.
I don't need to make my decision in the immediate future, but I have been contemplating it for a little while. There is just something that seems cool about importing games from across the pond. (I don't speak or read any Japanese, so that one would be out of the question. I am not opposed to learning, but I don't have the kind of time to devote to learning an entirely new language.)
Any advice or inside info is appreciated. I did try and look up this info myself, but they information is sparse and I can only see precedents from the past (Manhunt and Carmageddon from a long-ass time ago...) Thanks in advance!
