Don't get me wrong, I love this game, I just didn't know it was going for this much.
 
Jeez, I certainly didn't expect THIS game to become "rare" enough that it would go back up in price. It's not even as good as the first PE...wonder why it's gone up now all of the sudden.
 
I've been scooping up a lot of older PS1 RPGs on Ebay lately and have also noticed the upward pricing trend. It's like I waited just a bit too long to get these after the prices plumeted. Most of the classics like Xenogears and the Final Fantasy Collections can still be found for a reasonable price of under $20 but I think that's going to be changing soon. At least even when the price of an older game goes up to $30-$40 I still will be able to get it cheaper then when it first came out years ago. If anyone has any Suikoden 2 PS copies in great used shape you can probably get over $100 for it at least until Suikoden 4 leaves the limelight.

Suikoden 2 has gone for over $100 for a very long time now. 4s release has made it inch a little higher, but it's not responsible for 2 commanding such a high price. Sealed copies can go for $250+.

The Final Fantasies and Xenogears can go for cheap because they have Greatest Hits reprints on the market.
 
I don't mind GH titles since I'm more of a gamer then a collector. My recent purchase of a PS2 has gotten me back into the classic RPGs. Parasite Eve 2 just happens to be one I still need to get oddly enough.
 
I never finished PE 2. The first was excellent, and the second was good, from what I had played...
 
$40 for a sealed copy, nope. I dont think it ever was that high, maybe $15-20 not #40. Dont even waste time buying it for $10

Too bad it's a part of the shaq-fuing 1-2 weeks from Toys R Us things. All kinds of rare Square Enix games are on Amazon from TRU at 1-2 weeks.

Game is 2 disk.

i enjoyed playing through this game. never beat the extra modes though :(

i might have to do that sometime later ( if i still have my save game data)
 
I found a copy for $4.47 at TRU recently (70% green tag), but the case is badly cracked. Also they had the strategy guide for $2.09.
 
I got a sealed copy at GR not too long ago, sold it to me as a used copy. It's only an eh game. First one is better.

No way! The first game owns part 2, but then again I am not a big fan of the resident evil controls... I'm not saying part 2 is bad, but I love the first one so much more.
 
Great game but never thought this went for so much on ebay though. Never even knew it was difficult to find, nearly every Gamecrazy around me has one or two and both are complete.

Edit: Just did a search on Ebay for completed items of Parasite Eve 2 and only saw one auction that ended at about $40 and it was on Jan-22. The average price for the game seems to be roughly about $15-20 so I hate to say but don't get your hopes up of selling this game that high. I think it just got into some bidding war that some guy really, really wanted it.
