My mom has been wanting to get about a 40 in tv for our living room during this black friday and cyber monday sales period. I've looked around and had no luck. We still have a 27 in box tv in the living room lol. Just looking for some help in finding a 1080p ~40 in tv for under $200. Any takers?

I saw quite a few at Target, Best Buy, and Walmart.

There were some decent ones in that range, I know Best Buy had an Insignia for $180. I think Target or Walmart had a Westinghouse in that same range. The sale is still on for a couple hours. :)

I don't know much about those specific TVs, but I hope that helps you some.

The deals were gone long before you even made your post. Most of the good HDTV deals are door busters on BF, not sure why you guys didn't start looking earlier since tons of good HDTV deals were posted this year.

WM had a 50" Element 1080p HDTV for $215 or something guaranteed for 1 hour from when they opened at 5AM or whatever (they gave out a raincheck and have the HDTV delivered within a few days if they sold out).

You're not gonna easily find what you're looking for now. Your last bet is probably the Target deal if you can find one in store but I doubt you will. http://www.target.com/s?searchTerm=16199629&category=0%7CAll%7Cmatchallpartial%7Call+categories&lnk=snav_sbox_16199629&clkid=xsXzxcWpDwFe0WpQcFRkV3v%3AUkV0xi3wE08cy00&lnm=Target+Shop&afid=Slickdeals+LLC&ref=tgt_adv_xasd0002

EDIT* I found this. I can't speak for the quality of the TV though.

there were still a lot of these on the floor when i went in on black friday.  seems like no one wants these and the employees there told me it was not of the black friday deals and it was just sold normally.  u should go in and check the store.

they got the following sharp for $300

There are a good amount of options. I think Walmart has a Sanyo 40" for about $250 regular price.

Best advice is to get out and look If you're not opposed to shopping online, Cyber Monday is this week, and there will be more deals on TVs.

Check Woot.com, an offshoot of Amazon, as they have really good prices on TV'S and monitors.

Newegg is another site, especially if they have Cyber Monday deals going on.
