I had an order placed for two $20 items, with Super Saver shipping selected. One of the items shipped immediately, the other is still sitting in "Not Yet Shipped" status a couple days later. I tried to cancel the second item, but the system refused to let me cancel it because it was part of a "multi item promotion." I'm assuming that the promotion in question is the free shipping, because there was nothing else special about the order in terms of coupons or offers.
I can understand why Amazon wouldn't want me to cancel part of the order, because buying $25+ of merchandise is part of the deal for Super Saver shipping after all. The thing is, I've had this situation come up before and didn't have any trouble cancelling the portion of the order that hadn't shipped.
Is this a new policy? Has anyone else noticed this?
