Hey, Prmononoke, I watched Super High Me, and I didn't really like it. I guess it was pretty good, but not as good as you said it was.
It was pretty much just a spoof movie until, maybe, the last 30 minutes, and after about an hour of Doug Benson reminding everyone that the over consumption of weed only made things "more fun", I just couldn't take it serious.
Also, Doug Benson isn't very funny.
The important parts, I think, are the scenes in which the legality, and the closing of the stores, are focused on. The scenes in which the depository is being shut down are, in my mind, pretty powerful, and an important statement against government intervention.
My main problem with the film is that Doug Benson doesn't seem to be taking the topic seriously. The truth is, it's a serious topic, and the scenes that treat it as such are, in my mind, important to see. For example, the scene with the medicinal marijuana patient in the wheelchair is pretty, for lack of a better word, heartbreaking. One needs to look no further than that scene to see that, at the very least, medicinal marijuana laws should not be overruled by the federal government.
It's not the greatest film, but for certain scenes, I think it's an important one to see.
