Paypal dilemna.

So an individual selling a game that only requires a CD KEY from Craigslist said that he'll send a Paypal request of funds and THEN, he'll be able to email me that key.

Now, I'm not noob to Paypal, but does it work like that? What's keeping him from sending me a bull-crap code? I've never heard of this request of funds feature from Paypal so I'm a bit puzzled by the process.

A request of funds is nothing more than him sending you an invoice for the amount of money he wants for the game. It's nothing special...

Hm... is there anything safer to get that cd key and him getting the $$$?

Meeting in person and handing him the money for a legit cd-key is about the only "guaranteed safe way" of making sure it's legit. Even then, I wouldn't do it.

a cdkey for a game, especially an online game, is something id never get from craigslist. let alone with craigslist & paypal. pay the extra cash and get it from amazon or best buy.

Unless I met that person face to face, with my computer and had him type in the cd key and verify that it worked, theres no way I would do it.
