Hey i set up a paypal acount and I hooked up my bank account to paypal, now when i buy something does paypal cover my purchas then they take the money out of my account or do I have ot wait the 6-8 days for it to go through?? ive read alot about this and got mixed answers. Ive read that is is an echeck and it will take time befor the recipient get the money but ive also read that paypal pay for it adn then they take the money out.. so whats the deal?

It varies. PayPal uses some combination of factors to decide if they should wait for the money to clear your account (an eCheck) or if they can allow you to make an instant payment from your bank. AFAIK they don't disclose exactly what those factors are but it's probably related to how many payments you've made and received with that PayPal account, whether you are verified, and whether you are shipping to a confirmed address.

If you have a credit card you can link, it's always an instant payment.
