I sold a game under buy it now immedieate payment required. I went to look at my e-mail for the payment e-mail so I could get the buyer's address and there was no Paypal e-mail. I went into my Paypal account to look at the payment transaction because sometimes I don't get the Paypal e-mail.

The transaction says it was reversed. The buyer paid but the money was given back to them! I don't have any e-mail from Paypal about the reversal and I have no idea why it happened because I don't think the buyer could have or even attempted a chargeback this fast (and they would have no reason to either of course).

I e-mailed Paypal but because they take forever to respond, I don't know what else to do besides e-mail the buyer. And of course, Paypal's help section doesn't help at all.

man, tahts liek the second complaint about paypal in a few days.... this doesn't sound too good... I am mad at them because I didn't take their free money thing in the summer....
Have you shipped the item yet?
No, I didn't even have their shipping address yet, which is how I noticed the reversal.

Are you able to accept payments through Paypal via Credit cards or just bank transfers? One time I paid with an item through Paypal with a credit card but it was refunded because the Seller couldn't accept credit cards, only payments sent through bank transfers.

If he sent his payment through a credit card and your ineligible to accept them, they'd reverse the charge. If that's the case have him send the payment through a bank account.

I sold my Colecovision collection that I had since I was a kid through paypal. I shipped it without tracking (Stupid!) and the buyer said he never got it. So now I have paypal on my ass for $155.00!. I will never use paypal again!

I can accept credit cards through Paypal

Edit- I just looked, the payment was sent at 1:48:52, and the reversal occured at 1:48:53, 1 second after the payment was submitted.

I don't think whatever happened was a standard chargeback.

The money is almost always automatically received though. The only exception is if the adress is unconfirmed, then I manually have to accept or deny the payment but it was a confirmed address.

Yes I think maybe they tried to send money they didn't have or their account was frozen all in all very odd. Well I hope you get your money.

Buyers with low ebay feedback show a tendancy to have unconfirmed addresses. It's not that uncommon, I'd say if you were selling a top seller (SA, H2, etc) that might have been the case.

Very weak

You have some of the weirdest eBay/PayPal situations Yoshi :)

So you can set an option on PayPal to not automatically accept payment from unconfirmed addresses?

I have it set up like that, I'm not sure if that was a default setting back when I set up my Paypal account or not.

If you think I have some weird situations with Paypal and Ebay, this is just a handful of issues, it's nothing compared to some of the stuff I don't even post about. If I posted about everything strange than went on, I think the whole forum would be filled with nothing but my topics.
