Paypal question

Is it required that my paypal account be upgraded to a "business" account for me to receive payments through Paypal? I'm about to sell my first item on ebay and i am not sure if i have to upgrade my paypal account. Anybody know?

i always thought paypal was free........now for the first time this week someone tried to pay me with a credit card........so i had no choice but to upgrade my account, which sux ........... there is hardly any money left from my sale after shipping, ebay charges, and paypal charges......

Dunno if this has been brought up, but the gayness of paypal is now pissing me off more. $500.00 receiving limit? The hell.
