Pc Disk Drive Help!!!!!

My laptop has decided to no longer read any CD'S or DVD's that are loaded into its disk drive. What should I do? Does anyone know what the best course of action is? I have heard that they CD Cleaners can do more damage then good. If anyone can HELP I would be gratefully.

Thanks.

I can only speak from my experience fixing my Xbox with the exact same problem, I disassembled the DVD-rom drive and used a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol to clean the lens, reassembled, and fired it up and it has worked flawless ever since. CD Cleaners never really work the way they are supposed to. Most drives can be disassembled easily, though this will be tough with a laptop unless the drive is eject able. Don't be afraid to clean any excess dust with the rubbing alcohol anywhere in the drive and check to make sure it is still spinning when you insert a disk so you know that is not the problem.
