I know someone else already posted about getting PREY cheap, but there needs to be a thread to tally up all of the discounted prices because there are some ridiculous deals I just found and it will take a combined effort to scan all of Circuit City's games. Anyways, I have just purchased:

edit: Thank you to pcktlnt for making this list alphabetized and coding it for starforce.
To help out my fellow caggers, here is a compiled list of the games that have been listed throughout the entire forum. Do not hate on me if some of the prices may be off, I just copied/pasted. Good luck finding the games. Please, please please please please put the game title and price when you guys list. This way it would help out a lot. ^__^

A few questions were arising that I thought everyone knew. But I will help clarify here just in case.
 • All prices listed below are 50% off. That means, what you see listed below should be what you pay for that game.
 • NEVER believe the sticker price on Circuit City games. If you feel doubtful have the employee/cashier PRICE CHECK the game.
 • Your mileage may vary (YMMV). For example, we know that Sam & Max price checks for 24.99, but a fellow CAG was able to find one that had a sticker price of 19.99, so he/she was able to pick it up for 10.00. Same with someone else and a Deluxe version of Battlefield. Use your best judgment in obtaining a game not on this list.
 • If you do purchase a game, please list the game and price. This way, the list can be updated.
 • Good luck fellow CAGs.
Thank you fellow CAGs for posting your game finds and prices.
And it lets people like me actually have birthdays once in a while.
I'm always curious to find out whether a 2/29 baby celebrates his or her birthdays on 2/28 or 3/1 or only on leap years. I like to pretend it gives me some kind of insight into that person even though I can't think of a darn thing.

I Got:
Company of Heroes - $10
Company of Heroes:Opposing Fronts - $10

Link to CC PC Games (Update: Feb 14, 2008, 5:45 pm)

Damnit, Valentine's ate a bigger hole in my wallet than the games combined. I'll post the prices later. Sorry for the delay, school and Valentine's Day = time consumers. But everything is up to date so far, added the few titles that are left. ^__^

I'm going to hit the Fremont CC Friday afternoon, hopefully they have more titles I can add here so people can pick up what is left of the PC games before the end of Saturday. Check ya all later.

Picked up:
FEAR
Titan Quest
Prey
Overlord

Heh, people were right when they said CC doesn't label things correctly. Barely anything had a price on it (they just had a blank sticker), and so many other things were marked wrong. Overlord had a $39.99 sticker on it, and Titan Quest a $49.99. I went up to customer service and got some girl who apparently has had all the enjoyment sucked out of her life confirm the prices for me.

I might hit up the other CC in the area tomorrow. This one unfortunately didn't have most of the games I was interested in. (No Lego Star Wars or Call of Juarez or Silverfall.)

Gonna go back tomorrow and make them scan every damn game on the shelf just to see what is what. Hopefully I can snag Overlord, because that game was pretty sweet from what I remember of the demo.

From the Taylor, MI store:

* Prey LE
* EA Strategy Pack
* DEFCON

Other than FEAR Extraction Point, I've gotten more than I could probably play in a few years. So I'm done. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread!

NFS:Carbon SE - $5
Il2
Resident Evil 4

Altogether about $75 with tax

I'm going to check out my CC in Whitehall, PA I'll report what I find. Anyone else in the area check this CC out for the deals? It's usually heavily picked over, but we'll see today.:D

Last night I picked up:

Stalker-$10
Prey-$6.50
The Movies-$4.33

Talk about an awesome deal! I've wanted all three of those since launch. Glad I passed on the 360 version of Prey.

EDIT: There were a ton of other games that are supposed to be great too, but I just have such a huge backlog (Plus Gametap!)

I tried getting Galactic Civilizations II, but it rang up for $23 something (which is probably an awesome price for it still, but again...backlog). I guess it's only the Dread Lords expansion by itself, while this said Dread Lords on it, but it was sort of a "gold edition" with the full game plus the expansion.

^^^ Found that out today too.

Picked up my cc.com Stalker and NWN:MOTB for $10 each.

Also grabbed:
Guild Wars Nightfall CE $9.48
Dark Messiah of M&M CE $4.12
Darwinia $1.40

Still had 1 copy of Stalker on the shelf, as well as reg edition of Dark Messiah.
and the shelves were still pretty full, and surprisingly well organized.

This was at the Algonquin, IL store

Overall, got what I wanted from the sale. Won't finish them for a long time tho. :)

I went back for like the 5th time and picked up:
Dark Messiah Standard Ed. (for a friend) $3.29 ish
NFS Carbon - I hightly doubt it's somehow not worth the $1.87+tax hahaha

my total haul now comes to:
1x Dark Messiah LE
1x Dark Messiah SE
1x BF 2142
1x Diablo 2 :LOD
1x Stalker
1x NFS Carbon
1x LOTR:BFME 2 (no expansion)
edit( 1x Starcraft BattleChest) How could I forget about it ??? :)

lovely, perfect for my new 8800gt I just picked up!

Looks like we've pretty much covered all the game prices, right? Now, take advantage of them deals before it's toooo late! :D

EDIT: Someone on the Target thread just reported getting Jericho PC for $7.48... That's a $1 savings. YEAH, CAGing away is what I do.

Visited the CC in Whitehall, PA, and had a pretty good run.
Company of Heroes $10
CoH: Opposing Forces $10
Stalker $10
Age of Pirates (it does exist!!) $1
Gothic 3 $3
Shadowgrounds $3.58

Total was $39.83

Didnt get darwinia or dark messiah of might and magic or battlefield 2, but im pretty happy with my run.
The only problem is that Shadowgrounds and Gothic 3 had those stupid 10% rewards thing sticker on them and i cant get it off. Anyone have any luck without making a mess of it?

I went to mine in Whitestone, NY and couldn't find a copy of CS:S or SC:Battlechest. :( I did see a few D2 and D2:LOD's though.
did anyone get an extra Nightfall CE by chance? I'd buy it off ya, send me a PM :) my store doesnt have any in stock :(
Same here, although if possible, can someone post the SKU and UPC for Nightfall CE? A bunch of the stores around Dallas are out of it and they can't do inventory checking by name.

I just got Stubbs in the mail, it came a lot quicker than I expected. But it came in a suspiciously flat bubble mailer. I opened it up and sure enough the game package is badly bent, dented, and ripped. :nottalking:

I stopped into my local Circuit City (Niles, OH) for the first time since I bought the stack of games on Tuesday. Well it seems I made an impression since the went through their entire PC game stock, priced everything, pulled a bunch of games out of the back, and put the cheapest in a bin out front. Still almost nothing was gone.

I would have written down what they had that wasn't on the list but I didn't bring it with me. I wasn't expecting such organization. Nothing really caught my eye.

I purchased their last copies of Dirt (racing one), Overlord, and Rise of Nations.

I bought:

Prey LE - $8.00
Defcon - $8.50
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (Jewelcase) - $3.00

I saw quite a bit more that I thought might be on clearance, but I didn't have the list and didn't feel like having everything scanned. I'm heading back tomorrow, though, if only for the EA Strategy Collection I passed up.

hmm I can never find MoH:AA jewel case, only normal box. :|

Heads up, I think management is sending emails to HQ because they are "suspicious" that customers have been coming in and buying games tagged 40 dollars or more for less than 10 dollars. I say this because I went to pick up PSU today at Fairfax and it rang up DOUBLE what it was reported listed for here, even though earlier it was at the lower price. IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 went up to 20 bucks!

Checked 3 CCs in the East St Paul, MN area and they had a surprising amount of games even multiples of a lot of games I bought. Couldn't find Defcon though...oh well.

I am very thankful for the list compiled on here, it was a huge help. Thanks to everyone involved in putting that together.

I bought:

Act of war: High Treason (marked $20/ paid $2.33)
Age of Pirates (20/1)
Black and White 2 (20/3)
Blazing Angels 2 (40/7.50)
Buccaneer's Bounty (20/2.50)
Call of Juarez (40/5)
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts (40/10)
Diner Dash (10/2.50)
DNA (15/2.19)
Gothic 3 (40/3)
Overlord (40/8.50)
Prey Limited Edition (55/8)
Sid Meier's Railroads! (18/3.50)
Soldiers: Heroes of WWII (5/1)
Left Behind (20/3)
The Movies (40/4.66)
Alien Shooter Vengeance (20/2.19)

I paid about $70 for 17 games at a sticker value of $463!

And I have enough games to last more that awhile.:bouncy:

And because nobody cares what I got I figured I would justify this post by finding at least one game not on the list that was marked down. OK, here it is:

Anacapri was marked $20 and scanned $10. I didn't buy it because I never heard of it, looked kind of cool though.

How long does this sale go?

Crap, I hope that it isn't over tommorow! I was going to go search for another company of Company of Heroes: OF!

I managed to grab a few titles today, thanks to the list. :D

Nice to nab that Might and Magic Dark Messiah Boxed Set for 4 bucks. Not bad at all!

If anyone can snag me some of those City of Villians game time cards, I'd be very willing to pay for your efforts. PM me if you can snag me some and we can work out a deal that will work for ya.
If anyone can snag me some of those City of Villians game time cards, I'd be very willing to pay for your efforts. PM me if you can snag me some and we can work out a deal that will work for ya.
check my list :)

Made off with Quake 4, Call of Duty 2, NFS: Carbon, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, GRAW(2?), and maybe something else.

Totalled $40. Plus the other day when I picked up Stalker and the Starcraft Battlechest for 20.

So I went to a different Circuit City tonight, immediately after seeing In Bruges (great, hilarious, kinda sad movie).

Unlike the one closer to home, they had Age of Mythology: Gold Edition, and several copies at that. So I bought one for 10 bucks. They had Darwinia too, for which I caved and bought, 'cause, really, I've never seen a copy of that game with a perfect box, and I should be happy that it was sealed. Besides, at a dollar-twenty-nine (1.29), can't complain.

So, of the six games I wanted, I found all but one--Syberia Saga: Limited Edition. Maybe I'll find a deal somewhere else someday. All-in-all an excellent sale. Thanks OP!
Heads up, I think management is sending emails to HQ because they are "suspicious" that customers have been coming in and buying games tagged 40 dollars or more for less than 10 dollars.
This is why CC is likely to go out of business sooner rather than later. Reasons?

1. Either local managers are so obtuse that they aren't aware that there is a sale on, or...

B. They thought they could have a "secret clearance sale", but are so freaked out that everyone seems to know their secret that they're panicking and scrambling to jack up prices before the losses get out of hand.
The sale ends tomorrow (Saturday.) Will it come back again? Who knows??
Just to clarify, Saturday (today) is the last day of the sale. If you go Sunday, it will be too late.

Okay guys -- here's what I picked up from CC today in Braintree, MA.

These are the final prices I paid for them, after everything.

All of these have already been in the list, so no need to update that.

Call of Juarez -- $5.00
Clive Barker's Jericho -- $8.50
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts (Stand-Alone Expansion) -- $10.00
Culpa Innata -- $10.00
FEAR: Extraction Point (Expansion) -- $3.29
FEAR: Perseus Mandate (Stand-Alone Expansion) -- $10.00
GTR 2 -- $2.00
Overlord -- $8.50
Sid Meier's Railroads -- $4.12

Just made run #2 and back with:

Puzzle Quest - $10
Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales - $1
the Ship - $2.19
Age of Mythology - $10

I had Sid Meier's Railroads in hand but they could not get a price on it and so Customer Service said they couldn't sell it to me and they would have to call Corporate Office on Monday for a price.

I'm going to go try the other store.

Picked up GRAW 2 and Company of Heroes for $10 each at the Southpark Meadows store in Austin. Pretty weak selection for the most part. I think I got the last copies of COH and GRAW in the store. Didn't see any other copies.

took up around 10 games all rang up 2.50 (mostly junk) cashier was very rude and told me to no longer bring up items i dont attend on buying. I told her to get off her lazy ass and put the right stuff on the prices and i wouldnt have to bring the stuff up. About 4 people standing in line clapped and say Damn right LOL

On run #2, I picked up:

COH: Opposing Fronts ($10/$40)
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance ($10/$40)
Galactic Civilizations: Ultimate Edition (GalCiv 1 $2.50/?)
Empire at War: Forces of Corruption ($9/$30)

$32/~$115ish. Not bad.

OK, I'm done. Run #3:

Battlefied 1942 Complete: $3.50
the Movies: $4.33
Sid Meier's Railroads: $4.12

Railroads still wouldn't ring up in the system at all. But, it had a sticker on it that said 8.24 and it was a sticker that didn't have other prices on it etc. So a supervisor came over and rang it up as a delivery item and put in 8.24. I said hang on...you have a sale this week and pointed out the add so she adjusted it to 4.12.

All done now.

Made a last run to CC today and came back very happy:

Overlord - $8.50
Titan Quest - $6.98
Titan Quest Immoral Throne - $10
Jericho - $8.50
FEAR Perseus Mandate - $10

and my favorite:

EA Strategy Collection - $2.74

Less than $50 for a total of 10 games (or 7 games and 3 expansions). AWESOME.

Now to find the time to play all of these...

Stopped by two more CC's. At the first (Colonial Heights), found:

Quake 4 (20/10)
Rag Doll Kung Fu (20/5)
Darwinia (20/1.29)
Armed and Dangerous (5/2.50)
Company of Heroes (Nothing/10)

At the second (Short Pump), I found a game that's unlisted:

Far Cry (Jewelcase) (12.99/2.19)

With the general state that my local CC's PC game sections are, I have no doubt that whatever I missed will sill be there when the half-off sale rolls around again. The Short Pump store's shelves were half empty and unorganized, and there weren't any cashiers at the registers/customer service for at least five minutes. And to think, CC corporate HQ is just down the road...
I'm looking to buy the witch king expasion for bfme2 from anyone of you, cause my cc didnt have it :(

oh and opposing fronts :p
Got anything to trade?

Hey folks, I couldn't get the Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance for $10 (it rang up at $24.99)...anyways, if someone has an extra one and is willing to work out a trade, I did get quite a haul of games, so PM me if there are any titles you were looking for and perhaps we can work out a swap. Thanks!

Well I hit up 3 CC's this afternoon. I found a bunch of stuff at the first one, not so much at the second and absolutely nothing at the third and furthest one. It was definitely a case of diminishing returns - I should have stopped after the closest one .

Anyway, I got some stuff I decided I'd probably return and a few extras - please check out the trade thread:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169884

and keep trade discussion out of this thread. I may end up closing this one but as usual we keep deal threads open for people to discuss what they found and any issues they encountered, etc...

I had wanted to find Heroes of Might & Magic V and Darwinia but no dice on those. I found tons of Heroes of Might & Magic V Tribes of the East and picked one up after reading it was "standalone". It is on my trade list but otherwise I'm going to return it - $10 is just a bit more than I wanted to pay. I was able to find a single copy of GalCiv II though, so that was nice. I also found a jewelcase version of Diner Dash for $2.50 so I can return that tin version that cost $5. Hooray for being an ultra-cheapass. It is for my daughter's birthday ;).

I also found a few more things not on the list:
Diner Dash (Jewel Case and I guess PC-only while the tin is Mac/PC): $2.50
SpongeBob SquarePants Nighty Nightmare: $2.19
Land Before Time Prehistoric Adventures: $1.55

I was looking for dirt cheap games for the kids to play and succeeded there on a few ;). A lot of other stuff I price checked came up $5-$10 though and I passed on it (lots of stuff in that category).
took up around 10 games all rang up 2.50 (mostly junk) cashier was very rude and told me to no longer bring up items i dont attend on buying. I told her to get off her lazy ass and put the right stuff on the prices and i wouldnt have to bring the stuff up. About 4 people standing in line clapped and say Damn right LOL
Nice comeback on the spot. I can't believe people clapped, lol, that's like straight out of a movie or a sitcom.
