[PC] The Indie Gala Thread

Actually it looks like the robot dudes came from this wallpaper.

Apparently it was made for a mod named Eclipse.

The link he posts is dead but the old Wayback Machine necros it here.

Um. Is this like... Tebownese from within the perspective of Tebownese? Tebownese²? Is that what I'm looking at here?

I wouldn't pay $4 for a euphemism for masturbation.
Wait, which of these are you referring to? All of them?

I missed Red Johnson's Chronicles in that Groupee's bundle. Don't want most of this stuff though.

That bundle actually looks decent. I've been curious about Vlad for a while now, Motte Island has been bundled a few times and I've heard it was OK... Fall Weiss is a hexagon strategy game (not my thing, but again, I've heard good things)

Apparently The Witch's Yarn sucks, though. :\ And Hero Siege is so-so?

I'll probably grab it for Vlad alone.

Ditto above...  Love stories...  And strategy games...  But when someone starts bragging about 500 real photos...  I get worried.  If I want photos, I go to google....  or 500px...  or some photo place.  Not a game.

Do Indie Gala bundles include direct downloads? I want Words for Evil in the current bundle and it's listed as available for Desura. I don't want to install another client.

Vlad was the only one that interests me and it's getting pretty bad reviews on steam. Already have Motte Island and don't care too much about Fall Weiss, Witch's Yarn, or that desura game. I know everyone likes to crap on Hero Siege because it was in a hundred and one bundles at once, but I actually found it pretty fun, if a bit repetitive. It's becoming easier and easier to pass on these Monday bundles.

Indie Gala hasn't provided downloads for a very long time.

Desura has DRM free downloads after you register the game in your account - you can grab it by logging into your account through a web browser and going to the game page.

I don't think this bundle is for me. I have a couple of the games that would have interested me... then there's a (supposedly) sloooow armchair general game and a couple of bad visual novels.

Maybe next week....

Vlad and Words for Evil are grabbing my attention sufficiently that I'm thinking of grabbing it in spite of wanting nothing else.

Though if my interest in Vlad falls through after further investgation, I may just look for spoder/cesspit opportunities for WfE.

I don't have any of those games, but none of them looks like something I would play (OK, maybe hero's siege for a bit, but won't buy it for that game)

Most of that greenlight bundle looks like poop and a decent amount of repeats. Only one greenlit so far is Astro Loco which may be the best of the bunch. I'll think about it but at least the price is right at a minimum of a dollar.

You know Banzai is gonna get greenlit, and if it has cards they're gonna sell well. That's maybe the best thing you can say about this group of games.

So I tried out Banzai Pecan. For anyone who's curious, it's generic but not the worst game in the world. The biggest gripe I have with it is that the desperation attack (when you knock down all the enemies to get some breathing room) can be interrupted by attacking enemies, so you just wasted your meter and you're still trapped in a crowd of enemies.

The good thing about the game is that it detected my wired Xbox 360 controller immediately so you don't have to play the game with a keyboard.
