PC USB 'JoyPad' GamePad - Translucent Blue!

I'm thinking about getting this so I can play some of my old PsX games on my computer (too lazy to go into the living room for the PS2). Does anyone have any experience with the controller?

Actually, which would be better for playing PS1 games on the PC? Getting this Joypad, or using a PS2 controller with a separate usb adapter?

I got a PS -> USB converter from radio shack for $9.99. I used to use it to play NFSU on my PC with my PS2 controller. It didn't support rumble, but I heard radio shack has newer ones that do (not really sure). Works great and didn't need to install any drivers. It just worked out of the packaging with XP.

That's awesome ... do they carry the adapter in stores, or do I have to order it online?

looked like a steal, but then shipping was $6. The gravis one looks like a better deal.

Thanks Nwaugh for posting the radioshack link. been meaning to look for it but too lazy. Will the converters work for ps2 controllers?
It says it's a psx to usb. Does that mean ps2 controllers also, or just ps1?
I feel like an idiot replying to myself, but I went to Radioshack, checked out the controller, and for the other guy in this thread who was interested, yes, it works for both ps1 and ps2.

Yes, the converters work for ps2 controllers.

I have one of these too (for 2 players), it's great. Works perfect for PSX/PS2 controllers but no rumble. It's perfect and although it came with a floppy disc for drivers, it works fine with XP without anything.

I have the one that's translucent blue and it's probably the same one as in the first link, but I'm getting a 404.
Actually, that controller appears to have a "sale price" of $1.99 at the moment. Not bad.

If you want a more full-featured PC gamepad, XPCGear has a nice looking Gravis for $9.99 and free shipping.

I can vouch for the Gravis Eliminator Rumble... I had the previous version, the Elimanator "Aftershock". It's still connected to my computer; love it!

I own two of those blue ones
they work well untill you drop them then they no longer work.
they are very fraglie and should be handled with care
