Just wondering if any CAGs have played either of these games, and could give me an idea if I should just go ahead and pick up the recently released Amnesia: The Dark Descent, or if it's worth it to start with Penumbra.

Also, is it worth $40 to pick up all of these on Steam, or should I wait for a sale? I'm usually fairly frugal, but this is an indy developer, and if the games are worth it, I'd probably be willing to shell out the cash to help them out. Especially since I don't see many other studios willing to do the horror genre.

Thanks.

I got the penumbra pack and played them all. I liked the first one a lot, it was pretty cool. But the problem was after playing them all I dont know anymore about what was going on then before I started playing, there was no resolution and the more parts I played the more confusing it got and it just seemed to keep going with no real point or end. I liked the gameplay and the core idea of it but it just didnt go anywhere like each chapter they couldnt figure out what to do. Despite that I did enjoy it which is saying a lot I guess.

I never played the other one.
You played the demos yet?
I tried out the Amnesia demo, was fairly well impressed. (Although I had mostly tried it out to see if it would run on my Macbook.) I'm definitely going to pick up Amnesia eventually (still trying to decide on sooner vs. later, given my backlog of games) and am trying to figure out if it's worth picking up Penumbra as well, or if I should just pick up Amnesia. Plus, Penumbra doesn't seem to have any demos on Steam.
