Sorry if this is the wrong forum...

I just called my target in Fairfield NJ and the guy in the electronics dept said that they alreay have a line forming for the DS LITE and that those people are waiting in line from now until 8 AM tomorrow when the store opens. I wanted to pick one up, and did not anticipate such a demand. Any CAGers work at stores like Circuit City,Best buy or Target to tell us how many units they will be selling tomorrow? The guy at Target said that they will not have any more than 30.....
 
OMG. I was shocked that so many people (including me) camped out for a 360. But a DS lite? Sure, I really want one but no way I'm camping out. WTF.
 
I was at 2 different electronics stores today and didnt see any lines at all. Nobody around here really cares that much.

yeah, if anyone knows any in the cincinnati area stupid enough to camp out tell me and I'll go show them my DS Lite I got at Target last week.

I wouldn't worry to much. Nintendo really wants to get the DS Lite out there to help with their Wii sales in the future. I will wait in line for a Wii, 100%.
 
There's so many Targets, Wal-Marts, K-Marts, Gamestops, EBGames, Sears, Best Buys, Circuit Citys, and Fry's Electronics in my area that I'm not worried of any crazy line or shortage here.
 
This is stupid. Camping out for something that's been released two years ago? It's just thinner people! Same damn handheld.

Our EB Games is one of the top stores in their district / region and they only have 12 units total to sell. All are presold. I feel bad for any idiots out in line waiting in the morning to find out that there are none for sale.

I'm first on the stores list, so I'm not concerned. I would guess that the other stores in town here (Circuit City, Wal-mart, Target and Sears) will have enough to meet the demand.

WTF - I walked into the Gamestop and reserved one today. Why wait in line when they are not even pre-sold out?
 
I'm not worried about finding one either, theres a gazillion targets/walmarts/circuit citys/best buys/etc here in the DC area, should be easy to find tomorrow.

Going to hit up the local target when it opens at 8 am tomorrow, would be very surpsrised if I have to make any other stops.
 
I just got back from trading my DS for $70 at EB. They asked me if I had already preorderd a DSL and I told them that I didn't. He said that there were still 4 left and I just preordered one. It comes out tomorrow and I managed preorder the day before, guess no one really cares around here.

I was at Fry's in City of Industry earlier today and saw quite of few of them locked away with a note with 'June 11th' written on it. There was probably around 36 or so units there.
 
I got mine last week at target in florence, Ky. But I also pre-order one at game crazy I went in there today to make sure I could get it tomorrow and they told me I was the only person to pre-order, they only got 8 DS Lites.
 
Got mine on pre-order locally, but since I won't be in town tomorrow, I'll still try and see if I can walk in and get one elsewhere. I want to try and get the extra $20 trade-in @EB/GS for my original DS.
 
What's wrong with camping out? I am writting this from my Blackberry phone while I am waiting in line right now! WIIIII!!!!
 
Man I've got my lite reserved at GameStop but I just noticed that GameCrazy is giving out coupons for 12 free rentals at Hollywood Video with the lite! My local one says they only have 7 copies though and they are all reserved.. grrrr
 
Has anyone figured out whether Wal-Mart is stocking them at midnight or waiting till early in the morning? I'd like to get one this evening if possible, but the ride into town isn't exactly convienent so I don't want to go for nothing...
 
Hahaha why would anyone ever camp out for anything? Patience people - if you don't get one tomorrow you will get it eventually... unless you die first.

I agree, that's Japan style where people DIES in cybercafes after playing World of Warcraft for 3 days non-stop. I need to buy 2 DS Lites to bring back to Brazil and that's my last week working here in Illinois, even that I'm not that worried to camp outside, come on, it's a remake not the hole new nextgen portatil... :roll:
 
Ive been expecting to have my DS lite this sunday, but this post is scaring me.. I didnt preorder and plan to buy from CC tomorrow. hmm should I go an hour before the store opens? lol
I really want the mario bundle =p
 
I imagine there are a lot of individuals, like myself, who have not yet picked up a Nintendo DS, which may explain some of the excitement.

Also, I just got off the phone with my local super wal-mart to see if I'd be able to snag a DSLite at midnight, seeing as how I'm going to be out of the house anyways. I was suprised to hear the the response I got...

I'm limiting myself to buying a DSLite at a wal-mart because I have like $100 in store credit. If my local wal-mart does not have any for sale tomorrow, I'll run out to another which is about 20 minutes away.

Only Koreans die of playing WoW for 3 days. Japanese people wait in lines for a week, but they stop to eat which would explain the lower death rate associated with gaming in Japan.
 
Hehehe. I reserved mine just in case. I learned the hard way back when the GBA came out. I ended up wasting half a day to just to end up getting the lame ass purple one.
 
What I don't understand is how many replies about this there are in this thread about this. Only the OP has said there was a line, and he has no evidence whatsoever; and other people are confirming no lines in their areas...
