God what is it with people and having kids they can barely raise? I see people in their early 20's with 2 or more kids and its disgusting. The whole family appears fat and uneducated. Its the 21st century people use birth control.

I think there needs to be some sort of license to be able to have kids. You have to have one in order to operate a motor vehicle so why not one for when it comes to being in charge of another persons well being? If you don't pass yet reproduce the children should be taken and placed with a qualifying family that is looking to adopt.

The government should give incentives to people to encourage them to be more responsible like tax breaks for having 0-2 children and cheaper or free birth control for all that want it. Education also has to be given so people realize how shitty life will be at 20 with 2 kids and no money.

It isn't just "these days". My dad was one of eleven back in the 60s. His parents couldn't even afford to have heat in their house.

It's a vagina, not a clown car. People should stop being so reckless with the amount of children they create.

I know of the following people:

22 year old guy - 1 kid from women #1, 1 kid from women #2, and 1 kid on the way from women #1 again.
18 year old guy - didn't finish high school, just had first kid with girl #1 and has a second kid on the way from another women.
16 year old girl - just had a baby. Where is the father? Oh, jail. Not to mention he is about 25. How the hell he isn't charged with statutory rape?

First 2 guys work part-time pushing carts at a store and the girl is still in high school. I work 30-40 hours a week and I barely make it by. How the hell do these kids have multiple children and get by. fucking bullshit.

The licensing thing would be great until we got the numbers in of how many people wouldn't qualify to have children. XD Other than the riots that would happen because of personal freedom infringement, you'd also get targeted by the political types who really need large populations to justify their power and to serve as their slaves.

Personally I think it would be better to start a new society on Antarctica or the moon where some form of population control is written into the Constitution. Then all we'd need to do is develop the positronic brain implants and the superior lunar space fighter and we'd be ready to reconquer the savages on Earth.

What should be done though is once a male or female hits the age of 13 they should have to take a IQ test designed specifically for them based around like common knowledge but more so for common sense. If you fail it then you get sterilized surgically right then and there free of charge.

Or at the very least the government should put chemical sterilizers in the water supply of certain zip codes.

I am 25 with 3 children, ages 2, 3, and 4. I have a very healthy, happy lifestyle and I wouldn't change it if I could. I don't think the government should have any control over my uterus tyvm

Also, I planned, and tried for all 3 of my children. They are very happy, loving kids. I now have a 10 year IUD (birth control) because I am done. There would be no way for the government to control the population to this extent. People would be having "black market" babies, and those babies would have to be hidden, so they'd probably never see a doctor or get to go to school. It would be chaotic.

I think there should be mandatory parenting classes for children and teens, as well as sex education sooner. If kids knew how hard it is raising a child, they might try harder not to get pregnant. There is free birth control, especially for teens (condoms, pills, diaphragms, spermicide etc) all they need to do is go to a clinic.
 
A friend of mine knows plenty of 19-20 year old mothers/fathers he went to high school with. Seems that young women are much more excited about having kids than guys, I'd bet money at least half of them end up in divorce. I think the perception of motherhood that a lot of girls have is skewed. They grow up with dolls and everything and somehow think that raising a kid is nothing but fun. Guys don't grow up with that perception of parenthood it seems. Not that they make any better choices because of it. Girl wants baby, guy is more than willing to help her have it, guy realizes he knows fuck all about raising kids.

We should treat having kids like we do marriage, you have to have a license first.

Hey I'm all for personal freedom but as a constant procrastinator I know we also need guidance. Mankind has unlimited potential but someone needs to be in charge to focus it.
