how would you swap? wouldn't you have the same codes as everyone else? aside from the first few of course, since I missed those.

I signed up, just not really sure what I'm looking for as far as locations and other clues besides hyperspace.

First of all, you haven't missed any yet because "HyperCorp" was the only one officially revealed. The rest are hidden on other sites (not linked to) and in the book and such. I have three so far. I figured we can give each other the ones we don't have. Not everyone is going to find the same codes at the same time at most people aren't going to read the book. However, I did buy the book and B&N just shipped it.

I'm confused as to how to go about this. Do you just randomly search sites related to PD0? And if you find the right site is the code obvious or is it hidden in text?

That is the part that confuses me as well. So far the only codes I have are from the book or from the main site. All the linked sites just have the same damn code.

yeah i just got one from all the linked sites and another where i just got lucky plugging in a word i read from the PD0 site.

If you find all the items does it result in PD0 not being rushed for xbox 360 launch? If so I might put forth some effort.
Thanks SuperCheap and thanks Larsin. Larsin did these come from one of the links or the book?
I got the same three from just guessing from this page: http://www.tor.com/perfectdark/

i think we might just have to wait for more clues.

yeah it's from that link which is the "Official Site" link on the bottom left of the scavenger hunt page.

I just wish they said for sure what exactly "location" is. I thought maybe it really was a city or country but someone on the forum thought "location" was any site with clues not linked from the main page.

Go through the clue sites again and ull find a new clue and it will become obvious what location is for.

I have three more codes that you can enter in the "Location" bar:

Paris, France
London, England
Tokyo, Japan

So has anyone else found any more?

For anyone confused, all you do is sign-up and then go to the list of sites, like www.activegaming.net and look for the PD ad and let it play. Then a code will pop up and then click the flash ad, login, and enter the code and see if you win. Every so often there will be a new code in rotation.

Also, the locations really are locations and must contain the city and country.

Example:

Paris, France
Tokyo, Japan

So, there are two there for ya' folks!
I opened Excerpt #2. Did anyone else get this?
What code gave you Exerpt #2? So far I have 11 codes and didnt get it

Tokyo, Japan. Maybe it is a random generator, probably any of the codes could open it just depends on the moment.

nope, tokyo gave me excert #2 too. I also have 11 codes that im pretty sure have been mentioned already. Dago, care to share any codes that u have that havent been said yet?

The codes I have were all mentioned as well. There are 11 of them so far in this topic. I only got one exerpt with Tokyo as well. I thought you meant you received a second exerpt. Anyone else have any additionals besides these:

1. hypercorp
2. Paris, France
3. CORPSEC
4. Macau, China
6. London, England
8. Tranq-7
12. MagSec
17. dataDyne
21. Carrington Institute
26. Tokyo, Japan - Excerpt Unlocked
27. Fairchild DW-P

Yeah, the book has another one not listed above.

#22.

Which, is a location. So, you can either scan the chapters of the book or just plug in famous cities from around the world.

Um, so I entered in all the codes I could find and the ones listed here, and didn't click to check if I won at all. I figured I'd wait for that...but apparently I can't try that now. So did I just screw myself over by doing that?

i doubt it. They probably make it pretty obvious when you win and just have the option of clicking the did i win button so that people know that they did have a chance of winning when they entered the code.
Searched the sites and found:

7. Vancouver, BC
That pisses me off so bad. I actually have the book and put in every variation I could think of like "Vancouver, Canada" and "Vancouver, B.C." but I just needed to skip the periods. Gagh!

Am i the only one that we could win perfect dark zero and not perfect dark initial vector, the book? The only good prize is the one 360 they are giving away.

Indeed. However, the book is pretty good.

^ Yep, and free is free, so I say whatever. Plus it's kinda fun to look for these codes...kinda...
