Perfect Strangers 12.99 @ Amazon

Mattiful-Joe

Henshin a go-go, baby!
Amazon is doing a major sale on DVDs and blu-rays at the moment. While there's nothing too great to write home about, I saw that it is selling "Perfect Strangers" (collects seasons 1 and 2) for just $12.99. I recall picking it up at Best Buy over the summer and I'm fairly sure I paid around the same price (but only b/c of a nice Chex Mix coupon in addition to a sale price). This is a steal, IMHO, at this price.

I thought nostalgia made me think this show was better than it was, but after watching many of them again, I realized how solid this show really was. Good, clean comedy.

And now, we do the Dance of Joy!!!
too bad it wasnt the entire series for 13
I hear you -- but we should be grateful even Seasons 1 and 2 are out in this nice package -- no telling when the rest of this show will see the light of a retail box.
I've posted this on my facebook each time I've learned I've passed a part of the CPA exam.... Hopefully I'll be able to post it one last time in mid-December when I get the scores for my last part:

I've never actually seen the show, I was too young. But I think I might get it just because I love that clip.
I of course recommend you pick it up. One of the greatest moments in season 1/2 is when Larry teaches Balki how to drive (so he can get a license). Absolutely hysterical stuff!
This and some Family Matters would make me relive my childhood. TGIF was the SHIT!!!!
Totally. TGIF rocked. Perfect Strangers, Family Matters, Full House, and even Step by Step. Good times.

I actually forgot about that one. Yeah that was pretty good too. Not as memorable for me as the others though.

Freaking really good times. Good mention @hallowicious about Boy Meets World. Full House and Family Matters don't hold up too much nowadays rewatching them on Nick at Night. Full House is cheesy as Shit and Family Matters became cheesy once a friend mentioned it and I started noticing it too.

The band I was in in High School covered the theme song to Perfect Strangers. That song is bad ass and the chorus is a pretty damn epic power ballad chorus.

One of my favorite comedy shows when I was a kid. Pinchot is hilarious! I always thought he was funny in movies too but he didn't get to star in too many of them.

Gott it already!

This is so bizarre! I had a dream last night where I was in a theater troupe performing the opening/theme song of this show. I don't even know what the opening it really like, but I'm certain it was nothing like what happened. The person playing the non-foreign cousin was dressed in surgical scrubs and he stabbed some girl with a scalpel while they sang about it. Did that ever happen in the show?

I haven't seen this show in 20 years but now I have to live with those images.
