I wonder what's with the huge price difference between platforms. I was hoping to pick it up cheap for the 360.
It's been a while, but the PS3 community was more lively, but maybe not anymore. The 360 version looks a little cleaner. Pick your poison, but I'd opt for the 360 version. We are nearing the end of a generation, so the community won't really matter much because people will start migrating to the new systems, and the game was never nearly as big as SF IV or Blazblue. Is there a difference between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions? If not I may just pick this up.
Um, just to be clear that while the story in Arena is a continuation of the story in Persona 4 that it's a fighting game not a JRPG. I do agree though that they need to release Persona 4 or Golden for PS3 though.Does anybody know if it includes the OST from Amazon? I'd probably bite for this even though it's not Golden. They should really release that on PS3...
You're talking about the cropped screens and the backgrounds right? I can see that, it's almost like there's a filter applied/missing from one of the versions with the slight color shift and that. Still, I think the non-cropped screens still look perfectly good (especially with how fast their games move). Just realized I have the full game trial downloaded on my system and never played it so I'm gonna go fire that up and see what I think. The fifth pic down with the guy sitting in the background (completely absent from PS3 version) looks much more blurry on PS3. Anyways, all of these games (BlazBlue, Persona 4) are made on the same engine, and they all look more 'blurry' on the PS3 than my 360 versions.
I agree, the 360 version is not $30 better. Right now, I would opt for the PS3 one.
I completely agree & I love fighting games! Bought a pre-owned copy from GS awhile ago when it was on sale but ultimately, I returned it. Just not feeling the controls & style although that's a good price for the game if you like GG & BB.Man, I just can't decide. On the one hand the game is gorgeous and just so well put together; on the other it's really not the kind of fighting game I really get into. It's the problem I've always had with their fighting games whether it's been Guilty Gear or Blazblue, the controls and style just don't work for me.
I ended up ordering it, it's just so beautiful that it makes me want to try and get OK with it.I completely agree & I love fighting games! Ya, that arcade stick's a disappointment so got rid of it.I ended up ordering it, it's just so beautiful that it makes me want to try and get OK with it.I completely agree & I love fighting games! Also, I just realized that you're over on SRK and started the Injustice stick thread that I was just waffling in about modding it yesterday.
Your input was what sealed my ordering the Madcatz Soul Calibur stick, now I'm just got to come up with a them to make it less hideous, Now I've just got to hope that the local Gamestop will let me return the Injustice one in person; paying $20 (a fifth of what it cost) to ship it back is not an appealing prospect.Ya, that arcade stick's a disappointment so got rid of it.
Glad I could help out! The Injustice stick isn't too bad but for the price ($90 plus tax after deducting $60 for the actual game), there are much better arcade sticks in the same price range. Only way I'd buy it @ $90 (plus tax) is if I know for sure I can sell the DLC on eBay for at least $25 because ~$75 is the most I'd pay for that stick & that's on a good day, LOL! As long as you haven't opened the retail box then I'm pretty sure you can return it at a local Gamestop. I know people return online purchases of pre-owned games locally. If you've already opened it then not sure if they'll allow that since it's up to the manager's discretion.Your input was what sealed my ordering the Madcatz Soul Calibur stick, now I'm just got to come up with a them to make it less hideous. Yeah, when I ordered it I was counting on trading the copy of the game I already have to BBY for about $30 and considering it a $70 stick. I wasn't sure if they would charge me return shipping and concerned about returning it to a local store because it does say manager's discretion and if I was a Gamestop manager I wouldn't touch a return like that with a stick knowing it's just going to sit in my store and cost me. Thankfully Gamestop took care of all these concerns for me when they somehow shipped me a Hori Real Arcade Pro VX SA for 360 instead, wrong product and wrong system. Kind of amazed that I would be so fortunate as to have them screw the pooch and be at fault for my return.Glad I could help out! I'm hoping so. At least a "Super" edition seems fairly likely since GG and BB have gotten them and P4A outsold both if I recall right, plus having it in EVO helps those chances and keeps it more visible.I wonder if all these price drops that go up before E3 are a sign of things to come.
I still think there'll be a sequel to this. Or maybe I'm just hoping for one.
The Ultimate bundle with the extra colors and the (ever so stupid) glasses DLC was still $28 with the Plus discount and the vanilla is currenly $30 on PSN.was the digital version/bundle not cheaper?
