Persuasive Speech Topic

I have to do a 5-7 minute persuasive speech for a college class. If you've ever been through this you know they are boring as hell. I'm trying to come up with a funny or interesting topic.

So far I'm thinking either
1. Aliens exist
2. Everything is better naked
3. Evolution

Leaning towards number 1. Anyone got some good topics?

I did one on how to approach girls for a date, which made the persuasive part involve girls in the class. I threw in cheesy one-liners, suave moves, etc to illustrate powers of persuasion. Got a A and a few requests for dinner rofl.
 
I've had someone do a persuasive speech to fight against the French in search of the Holy Grail (in reference to the Monty Python film). Excellent.

Yeah, to make it work you have to be comfortable in giving speeches and knowing your classmates. It can be awkward if you don't know how they'll react, so confidence is key. I think out of all my college classes, that was the only truly fun one I had.

Things I learned from class speeches: Not all people react to the discussion of eating gnome fetuses in the same way, as one person stormed out.

Didn't stop me! Just made it even more hilarious.
 
Do a persuasive speech on the inefectiveness of having to do 7 minutes speeches on the college learning process.

Assuming you don't want my first suggestion...I would just pick something you are actually interested in to make the research more palatable and you might even have some passion naturally for a subject you actually care about. If aliens gets you going that is the one to choose.
