Well, peta does not oppose pet ownership (even ALF members, which are much more extreme than PETA, have no problem with domesticated animals, like dogs, as pets, since there is no alternative) And I fail to see the conspiracy theory here. Being spied on, and then claiming you were spied on. How is that a conspiracy theory?
Also, peta has euthanized animals that were:
A. going to be euthanized by less humane means
B. Were going to spend out their lives on the street or in small cages (and we all know there are many more animals up for adoption than people will adopt)
Now, you may not like that, but it's not nearly as bad as it sounds, or as pointless.
Though I only care about the end result really. They don't engage in violence (like the ALF), and, whatever you want to say about their crazyness, they do get results. That's the way I see it, they don't harm anything and they have had legitimate successes.
Though you have to admit, walking by a peta protest and seeing near naked women is always a good thing.
