PETA sues Circus for using CIA to spy on them

I'm not a huge fan of PETA (I like meat, for one thing), but this isn't actually a conspiracy, is it? I mean ... it actually happened. The story says that "Clair George, the CIA's former covert operations director ... acknowledged in an unrelated case that he did consulting work for [the circus] and helped oversee surveillance of animal-rights groups." The only question is whether that's illegal or not. It's probably hypocritical of PETA, though, since, as the article points out, they use undercover surveillance all the time.

peta blows, and I am for animal rights, they are against all pet ownership and they also put a ton of animals to sleep each year.

Well, peta does not oppose pet ownership (even ALF members, which are much more extreme than PETA, have no problem with domesticated animals, like dogs, as pets, since there is no alternative) And I fail to see the conspiracy theory here. Being spied on, and then claiming you were spied on. How is that a conspiracy theory?

Also, peta has euthanized animals that were:
A. going to be euthanized by less humane means
B. Were going to spend out their lives on the street or in small cages (and we all know there are many more animals up for adoption than people will adopt)

Now, you may not like that, but it's not nearly as bad as it sounds, or as pointless.

Though I only care about the end result really. They don't engage in violence (like the ALF), and, whatever you want to say about their crazyness, they do get results. That's the way I see it, they don't harm anything and they have had legitimate successes.

Though you have to admit, walking by a peta protest and seeing near naked women is always a good thing.

PETA isn't tops on my list of annoying groups, but I don't really find them to be the most honest or logical people on Earth. To me, just two groups yelling at each other.

fucking PETA. They have a "Home Base" type deal in my area and they stir up some controversy every now and again. I love animals in all but these people are fucking nuts for those of you that are clueless. Hell, a while back a couple of their people got caught throwing away(Yes, literally putting them in garbage bags and throwing them away) puppies just across the VA/NC border that were supposed to be put to sleep and/or took somewhere to be thrown away. Sounds ethical to me cap'n!

I have no respect for PETA with the way they try to brainwash kids by passing out "blood buckets" at KFC with a Colonel Sanders action figure holding a knife that is dripping with blood or passing out comics to kids that are just as bad (I think I remember hearing about one that was titled along the lines of "Your mommy is a murderer" in reference to wearing fur coats).
