Petitioning for the banning of Spriggan

My last post in the thread, unless I feel the need to make my presense known again;

Spriggan---stop playing devil's advocate. I do NOT follow you from thread to thread--I only call you out on your stupidity in the NFL threads.

1. 1-10 times a day. 2 10-20 times a day. 3. 20-30 times a dya. 4. 30+times a day. 5. He sucks his dads dick more than he fucks his mom.

Remember that? I didn't bother posting, because everyone realised how stupid you sound. You're just one of those people that keeps going on and on thinking you're actually smart and make sense and such, but yet you're actually the epitome of the complete oppisite. You're nothing but a polemical little punk. And STOP saying you're willing to ignore me and such; because making threads for the sole purpose of going off about the Colts and how they suck and how they are the worst, and how you hate them IS an attack at me, whether you want to admit it or not. You know my stance on such a matter, but yet you continue making such asinine threads and expect me not to take offense to it. Dumbass.

That might be the best way of looking at it. Every forum has its trolls; Sprig is relatively harmless. Maybe we shouldn't ban him after all...

And tmbgman: if that username means what I think it does, you've got great taste in music.

People are upset because you made almost 100 posts today and I would bet that less than 10 have a legitamite sentance in them. I personally dislike post-whores. The same could be said about me, but I've been here for about 9 months posted about 6 posts a day. You've been here 2 weeks and average about 25 a day, when you've only actually posted 5 or 6 of those days.

People are also upset because your offensive nature. Users on these boards are generally 18+ (Or atleast show a maturity level of that), and generally dont appreciate someone saying "_____'s are a bunch of F-er's!" or explicit references to porn stars.

It seems like the gernal populce is against you. I'd like to suggest a special title (With 0 Monopoly guy's lit up) of "Post Whore" or "Village Idiot". I dont think you've done anything worthy of an IP ban yet, but you're well on your way.

He definitely needs to be banned already. Why?

1. He doesn't care about people complaining about him and laughs in their face
2. In spite of the complaints he continues to spam and troll like crazy

I like that idea! Would it be hard for Cheapy D to implement that in the system he currently has set up. It would put a level of shame on the person, and tell people to just immediately ignore them.
 
Spriggan is single-handingly turning this site into a worthless site like Gamefaqs. I'm down with this petition.

Once he is busy flipping burgers, and gets a little humilty in his life, along with some respect for the English language--including some real respect for "profanity" and its appropriate use (or lack thereof), I imagine he will become a valuable member of the community.

Does he post too much?
Yes. But, if he was able to find some good cheap ass deals to share, u can guarantee he will be bragging about them here, and thus sharing his knowledge of the deals.

Are his initial posts generally offensive?
Sometimes. Mostly. Generally. Yeah.

Is it fun reading the inane threads that result from his meanderings?
Most definitely.

If he could stop being such a harassing bastard, it might actually be fun to keep him around as the CAG whipping boy... uh, wait... he already is the CAG whipping boy. So if we could limit the number of posts he makes each day, along with adding a profanity filter, we would be set.

Oh yeah, then all we need to do is mod our OWN user accounts, remove our AIM info, URLs, public email address, and our geographic location data, personal info, etc...

I try and believe everyone is good at heart. Well, except for Hitler, Idi Amin, Saddam, Sadaam's kids. I am sure Sprig ain't such a total bastard--but, I have sometimes been accused of being a bad judge of character.

I'm waffling. Its Cheapy D's board. What he says is law. I know he is aware of the situation, and we need to trust his decisions.
 
Flame Wars are a part of every forums...personally they can be entertaining in the very least. These 5 pages are REALLY boring imho.

I think it would be cool if CheapyD made a FLAME WARS forums. This way all flaming can be sent to one place. And the rest of the forums can stay flame free...if you want to blow steam at someone you just post your hatorade in the Flame Wars forums and let it ride...

but maybe that's just me..

if there was a flame war forums I know of at least 2 threads I would start asap

Threads dedicated to flame-wars is only going to spill over to every other thread on this website. It's going to attract a primary audience of 8-14 year old males that are too afraid to trash talk someone in person, so they do it here where they can hide. I come to this website not for flame-wars, but to talk to or debate with intellectual people like JSweeney (plus to find cheap deals!). Leave the flame wars at Gamefaqs.

I have no idea who Spriggan is to be honest... but any person who manages to piss off my friend Rich must be a jerk, therefore no friend of mine ;)
