I just bought the 360 Wireless Wheel , so I'm kind of amped for this , as well as Forza 2 .
I'm hearing this game might be out in November .

I hope they do a PGR4 Collectors Edition in a Steelbook case or tin box .

Is anyone else waiting for this game ?

I consider PGR2/3 the best racing games of all time...well almost behind Rallisport Challenge 2. I've played a ungodly amount of racing games over the years, and the XBox had the best with Moto GP, PGR, Rallisport, and the multiplatform racers. It even had the niches like Outrun.

It's wierd though, because I can't get back into the game right now. Eitherway looking foward to the next game in the series.

PGR3 is still one of the best 360 games, and the first two games in the series were amazing for their time as well, so I'm really looking forward to this one. I wish they'd give us some real info on it though.

I really liked 1 & 2, but 3 really didn't do it for me like the others. After 3, I don't know if I'll be getting 4.

Apparently the first screenshot is in PLAY magazine now [as of Mar 29] .
It show a Ferrari Enzo with rain drops on it .

Welcome back weather from PGR2 !

Cool, I just got PGR3 tho but I'm really liking it! I started off on novice for the first race, then I went easy for like two trophies, then I went medium for around 14, now I'm playing at hard! So I'm definitely getting better...platinum seems insane though. Hard right now is good for me, provides some challenge but I can beat it after a few rounds. I've had the game for around 5 days I think...only got 3 achievements, been mainly doing uhhh races and stuff, think I got 17 trophies or 18 right now and I'm almost rank...6? Or 5?

BTW is the Geometry wars game in PGR3 similar to the XBLA one? I liked Geometry Wars 2 in there, but #1 wasn't too great.

And also, what makes Forza and PGR different? I think Forza is more realistic? But how...PGR seems pretty realistic to me (except the shape the cars stay in when I crash lol)

PGR has a very much more acrade-y forgiveness to it . Forza can be a total sim with the driving aids turned off .

A little advice , just start every race on steel .
It will be like giving yourself some practice runs , but it will count for your money you win .

I loved PGR2, and I love PGR3, except for the fact that it doesn't have as much variety in cars (I don't want to drive all fast cars all the time, I loved driving the Honda S2000 against people who used Porsche Boxsters). Can't wait for PGR4! And that magazine shot says PGR3 on both pages.

They better fix one glaring flaw from PGR3. When retrying a given race there should be no load times. When you're trying to shave up seconds from a time, or need to restart because you hit that one stupid cone, you don't want to have to wait for 30 seconds for it to reset the course. It should be instantaneous. This ruined 3 for me.

Hehe, speaking of load times....

Anyway, PGR4 I'm looking forward to actually.
I remember playing the orginal and thinking it had something to it, but wasn't quite there yet. PGR3 was much closer.

While both realistic Forza uses the race tracks instead of the street courses and also puts a emphasis on customizing cars for the gamer. PGR I think puts more of a emphasis on style (kudos) and driving more historic/classic type vehicles than all out modern sports cars.

I just finished PGR3, and loved it, but I can definitely see that it was rushed to meet launch.

PGR2 seemed more polished, with more cities, radio stations, and a better menu interface. Plus, if I beat a race in Medium, there's no way to determine if I finished the race in Novice and Easy. At least I finished reach race from the bottom up for achievement purposes, but if I happened to miss one race I'd have no way of knowing.

Plus with PGR2, at least we had new downloadable cities. I was surprised to not see this with PGR3. And for God sakes, please do not make Nuremberg a required race - I HATE that track!

The loading screens sucked. Chosing a car was tedious if you changed cars between races, and the game seemed to reload a track when restarting a race. Please fix the loading times!

So with PGR4, I'd like to see game with PGR3 but more like PGR2 in terms of the scope and polish.
What's "steel"? XD Uh, in PGR3 context

"start every race on steel"
Steel is the lowest difficulty level .

Steel--------easiest
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum---hardest .

Why start on the steel difficulty? XD Why not hard, lol...

I find the speed challenges and cone challenges the easiest, drift sometimes as well. the cone challenges you can just drift and get the points and you still have like 40 seconds left...and the speed ones are usually easier if you use the Ferrari F50GT on hard. They're also good for drift cause they're easy to go crazy with. My favorite fo racing though is the koenigsegg CTR I think it is...right now it's easy to turn with and has a good speed.

You can get the cars your want /need quicker this way .

I can not wait for PGR4, I loved PGR3 even though I still think the second one was better. More importantly when PGR4 comes out we will see the next GeoWars, which is my favourite game of all time.

this game is gunna kick ass im thinking about getting the wireless steering wheel soley to play this i probably will i play pgr3 online alot so pgr4 should be better hopefully im loving hd at the moment it rules

Agreed; I hated that!

I'd be more excited if Microsoft would let you use the damn Logitech wheels instead of forcing you to buy thier stupid overpriced Wireless Crap Wheel.

And it's not like it wouldn't be hard for them to do since Logitech wheels work on both PS2/PS3 and the PC just fine, and it's not like the 360 doesn't have any USB ports -_-. Asshole proprietary Bastards. The PGR and Forza series are great games but the propsect of having to buy a wheel for every system is just rediculous with a standard like USB in all the consoles.

plus who wouldn't want to try this bad boy?

You seem to have way too much money , and end up buying everything anyway , so I don't understand why you're bitching .

Paying 259.99 to play an aborted game/demo , [Yeah , GTHD I'm looking at you ] seems very rediculous .

I use my MS Wireless wheel on XBOX 1 games as well .

Which part , the GTHD being a failure , or the you not liking the MS wheel part ?

350 bucks for a gamewheel LOL, ya...if you buy that you definitely have too much money to waste! XD

funny seeing how I didn't even mention GTHD in my post............

Now for your stupid brain i'll put it into simple words that even u'd understand

Wow wouldn't be nice if you didn't have to overpay for an inferior steering wheel and just use a single universal one for ALL consoles?

now that wasn't so hard was it?

I brought it up when you mentioned the wheel , what else are you implying you're going to play with it ? Go back and read the entire thread .

Oh , well then I guess I should complain about my Logitech GT Force Wheel being replaced twice , and not being compatible as well .

That being said this is the XBOX 360 PGR4 thread , and I've had enough of this bickering .

Go start a GT5 thread , maybe it will be online finally this time .

Seriously, I remember going for all Platinums in PGR2 and the freaking Corvette Stringray was pissing me off because that car's wheelspin was too much! Man oh man I really miss many of the PGR2 cars, even the freaking SUVs, hahahahaha

It is. The dash and the crossed flags emblem give it away as a Vette. Right fender looks a little wonky though. Fender indicates 63-65, but the emblem is a 61. Hopefully that gets pointed out to them.

Beautiful pic. Can't wait for it.

I will have to agree in general with zog's comments. My DFP should work on my 360. As should my joystick I use for FS2004 on PS2 for Ace Combat (which I'm surprised no one has mentioned AC6 for 360?!?!?!). Furthermore, something like the G25 should be able to work as well, given the amount of money spent on such an item. But I digress, and we'll never see anything like that ever.
Wow, with those images and awesome video, it's almost like PGR4 is stealing Forza's thunder for the day.
certainly seems that way.

I'll be getting my hands on PGR3 later next week but won't have time to pick it up until after the H3 beta. Yes I know, blasphemy, but I only just got a 360 3 weeks ago, so back off :D.

It's cool, I got my 360 last week of November last year and bought PGR3 with my $10 BestBuy "Sorry we're not taking PS3 preorders screwup" coupon for a total of $9.99. I love the PGR series.
