Philips 42inch HDTV at Target this week ($698)

Target gave me a raincheck (they weren't supposed to), and I used it to buy the Magnavox model for the same price. They're nearly identical except for the name badge.

Tried to use the raincheck on a larger TV but no go, they were very reluctant to accept it at all.
 
yeah, you know what? i forgot this tv isn't on clearance, just on sale. they'll only sell displays of clearance items. tv's are 30% off displays though.
