Phoenix Wright: Justice for All - $10.99 at Amazon (Now back to $14.99).

I guess I'm the only one who never understood the appeal of these games. I have the 1st and only played it for an hour before I got bored of it.

You're not the only one...I got Trials and Tribulations and feel the same way....
Justice for all is the second one in the series, right?
Yeah Ace Attorney is the 1st I think. I might bite on this one.

Yeah, it goes:

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice For All

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations

And then on to Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

Great games, but not for people who don't like reading or thinking in a game. Definitely not action-oriented. They are still fun games with good characters and dialogue. The cases don't really require that much thinking, but there are reasonably clever twists. Usually the hard part of the games is not getting ahead of yourself and having to slowly prove things.

For $11 on the second one, I'm in. I picked up the first one a while back and loved it, but since I don't like paying more than $10-$15 for portable games I haven't been able to play any of the new ones. Looking forward to getting it.

For $11 it's worth it......the replay value is nil but the first time is worth it easy.
I paid $20 for the 1st and 2nd together so I was fairly happy with that.

It also may be worth noting that there are no branching paths or alternate endings and therefore zero replay value.

I must admit I played and enjoyed the first 2... but I grew up on text-based and Lucasfilm (before they were 'Arts') adventure games, and can stomach watching animes like "Detective Conan"/"Case Closed" so YMMV.

are you kidding me the phoenix wright series is an awesome game! if I hadn't already purchased it i would for only 11 bucks

These two things arent connected in absolute terms like that. People re-read books along those same lines. They just enjoyed it, and it has been some time, and they want to do it again.

Yeah there aren't any alternate endings or anything, it's all linear. You might want to replay it, like Dr. Mario Kart said, just cuz you like it and you've probably forgotten how everything goes exactly anyway.

They're not short games though, so they're worth the price even without replay value. You'll probably get around 10 hours of play from each of the games, maybe more, maybe less, depending on how immediately you know what you need to do. Definitely worth the $11 and even $19 though, especially if you like text adventures, of course. I dunno if I'd pay the full $30. I've played through the 1st and 2nd and am playing the 3rd right now (actually right this second, it's sitting in front of me, I'm on the 4th case), so I'd highly recommend them.

The last case in PW2 has a split path like the first game, a good ending and a bad ending....

There is one alternate ending.
At the very end of the game. You present the wrong evidence, the murderer is not guilty, someone you were trying to help gets convicted, and you never see Maya again. Pretty damn depressing but an alternate ending nonetheless.

Dammit, beaten, and by an OBJECTION! too.

(franny seemed fitting since she's the prosecutor in PW2)

I just picked the 2nd and 3rd one up from amazon. I'm halfway through Ace Attorney and I've loved it completely so far.

have the first three game and playing the game in order. so far, i am on 2nd game's final case and the series' story is top notch and worthy of your cheap dollar.

i hope to get the 4th game for cheap also

Oh yeah, I remember that now. I guess that counts.

Yea, I recommend these games too. I loved the first three. I just picked up the fourth one with professor layton during last week's Toys r us sale.

I'm waiting for a similar deal on Apollo Justice. I paid full price for all 3 PWs and loved them, but they drop so quick on Amazon so I'm holding out.

these games are really good for when you need to go to sleep. I always replay the Ace attourney when I have insomnia. Something about the smooth scrolling text that makes me crazy sleepy.

11 friggin dollars!? You better not past this up! The Ace Attorney series is the best series on the DS, and perhaps the best games on the DS arguably.

I stopped at the last case in Justice for All, I kinda want to get this to finish it but I'll pass. Trials and Tribulations is very very tempting though.

Godot is one of the greatest characters in a video game. He's not in JFA however. Get the games. They're epic.
Dead, $14.99 now (through Amazon, not 3rd party)
d'oh. I was feeling sick yesterday and didn't bother to order. I'll have to keep an eye out for it dropping again.

this is the weakest of PW series... The psych locks are dumb, other than that, it's an inferior version of the first one. $10 is still too much, unless for your collection completion purpose...
