Planet of the Apes: 40th Anniversary Collection Blu-ray $45.99 @ Amazon

It's as cheap as it's ever been at this price, and I jumped on it when it was a DOTD item for them.

The packaging isn't anything close to normal-ish for fitting on a shelf, and the discs sit on plastic spine holders mounted to the inside of the package, so there's no individual cases. The included book inside of the package is a damned fine bit of work, and the timeline in the inside of the case is pretty amazing.

I'm glad I forked out the money for the upgraded version from the DVD version. PQ on most of the movies is pretty good.

And I just jumped on the Deep Discount 51.98 deal yesterday.Oh well,Amazon charges tax here in KY so it's pretty close.

The DVDs are non-anamorphic,which is a bummer. This will be a fine upgrade.
