I searched but didn't find anything.

We've got three games here.
1 - Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 - 29.90
2 - Otona no DS Kao Training - 16.90
3 - Slide Adventure: Mag Kid - 9.90

Ouendan 2 is already infamous so I won't go into too much detail about it. It's basically the sequel to Elite Beat Agent's daddy: Ouendan. If you don't know Ouendan it's a nearly universally praised DS rhythm game and touchscreen destroyer. Great fun, hugely recommended.

Next is Otona no DS Kao Training. Uh. IGN Link. This isn't really a game but more a piece of software to help you get your face in shape. This is DS and DS Lite only folks. It needs the GBA slot.

Moving on to Slide Adventure. This little gem is one of those 'Japan only' titles that comes around every few months or so that has some cool ideas hidden under the bizarre exterior. Without rambling ad infinitum I'll link to a fairly concise summary of the title from IGN. Here's the official website. You basically slide the DS around to control the character and collect...stuff. Worth it for a tenner IMO. This title is not, I repeat, NOT DSi compatible. You must have the GBA slot to play it.

Unlike the Afrika/Aquanat's Holiday deal there is virtually no chance these titles will be announced for localization in The States.

As always be sure to fish around in the official Play-Asia Coupon Thread to further your savings.

I've owned all 3 of these, Ouendan 2 is obviously excellent and well worth the price, "Face Training" is pretty boring and repetitive and Mag Kid is interesting...but again, I found it boring. Worth 10 bucks just to give it a shot though if you're up for it. Although at 15 shipped, I'd probably let it, ahem, slide...

I thought Mag Kid was pretty entertaining. I got it for this price a good while ago. I'd give it a shot.

And Ouendan 2. Just buy it.

Ouendan 2 is just flat out great, but it's made 100x better if you're a fan or follow J-Pop.

C'mon, covers of...

Ken Hirai -POP STAR
mihimaru GT - Kibun JoJo
Mika Nakashima - Glamourous Sky
Porno Graffitti - Music Hour

If you've heard of any of those songs or artists, you owe it to yourself to pick this game up.

Oendan 2 is definitely a must-buy, though it helps to have first played EBA so you know the interface and how to play without needing to be able to read Japanese. I really hope they decide to make an EBA2, maybe more likely as a DSiWare release, since EBA apparently didn't sell well, and thus it's probably not worth the risk as a cartridge release.

Of that list, the only thing i know is Porno Graffitti, and only because of FMA. Still worth getting for $30? It certainly looks interesting...
Are these in full Japanese/will I be able to play them with no understanding of the language?
I'd say yes you'll be able to play for at least ouendan 2 even though it is all in Japanese. I've got it and the actual gameplay itself doesn't rely on Japanese at all although the ridiculous little stories that go along with each song will make even less sense if you can't read what's going on.

I'm surprised none of the Doki Doki games are included in this sale. Its perverted and bizarre. I would think that'd appeal to a lot of gamers.

It's not a sale per se, but rather just some games are discounted.

Although in all technicality, Slide Adventure Mag Kid is on sale because it's the Weekly Special.

I ordered Mag Kid last night when I saw the Play-Asia weekly update. I figured it was worth it for the novelty alone. Also snagged one of those Evangelion candy things that I saw last week (didn't buy it then because I couldn't justify paying the shipping on just that).

I can probably talk you out of it. Last time I was in Japan, there were huge stacks of this game trying to be clearanced, but nobody wanted it. It was about $8. Something about it looked like it would get old fast and is not worth the novelty. Big box, too.

Both Slide Adventure: Mag Kid and Ouendan are playable with no Japanese knowledge. Mag Kid is a bit more difficult, but you can still figure it out fairly easily, or, if all else fails, browse the internet for some instructions. I got the hang of it alright.

For Ouendan, since it is a totally rhythm based game, the only thing you'll need to do is figure out what the menu options are, and I'm sure there's a visual guide out there somewhere if you don't want to worry about trial and error.

If you liked EBA, Ouendan is about 57 times better. Buy it.

Games like Slide Kid are really the only reason I miss slot 2. I didn't use it for GBA games, but it was dreadfully underutilized as an expansion port... and the DSI doesn't seem to have any extra data link ports.

that is the good price and the games are nice... what do you expect for 29.90...
