These are the only real game price changes, also the PNT price tends to be a little less than standard retail, so a game might be $29.79 instead of $29.99... i just didn't feel like typing that out for every title. Also it is up to the store to price it, these are just suggested by corporate.

I will try to do this daily for you guys. If you wish to find your closes PNT store check the store locater at www.playntrade.com

Senko no Ronde is actually pretty fun once you get the controls setup correctly. By default, half the controls are set to macros which make the game seem really random and sporadic. My friend and I play it from time to time and it's very fun for us since we're very into fighters and shooters.

A Play N Trade opened up near me the other day. It has a nice environment and the owner greeted me and talked to me about what makes Play N Trade different. That was kind of cool. BUT the guy didn't really know much about video games (He said that the 360 Elite plays HD DVDs) and Super Mario RPG was $35. :/
I like that they still carrry older games and as their selection grows larger, maybe I'll buy something.

Looking forward to updates. Hopefully my store's prices will be the same.

Nothing major although we do have dates for the upcoming Ironman and Hulk game: 5/20 & 6/17 so we are going to have a pretty good Marvel Month.

PS2 Destroy All Humans Big Willy Unleashed - $27.90 (This is not out yet. Hopefully we see a drop in price for the other versions before it's release.)

Another pre-release price drop...

PS3/XB360 - NFL Tour - $37.90

Don't know how positive for the game considering its original price was $50 for a next gen game. Now at a budget price almost before it's release. I did enjoy NFL Street although the game breakers kinda ruined it.

Also the next Advance Wars has gotten pushed back to 12/26, don't ask me why but looks like a bad move. Would have thought this would be a featured DS title for the holidays.

mario rpg for $35 is actually a good deal. goes for about that on ebay and this way if it was broken you could bring it right back to a store.

The nearest PnT is in Buena Park...mayhaps I'll go check it out...which is likely after the holidays, when I have some scratch to spend....

I have a playntrade that just opened up by my house....I loved the store layout and was so excited about not just having to rely on gamestop. Problem is the selection is pretty bad, new games dont arrive on release day, and for some reason, the guy who answers never answers as a playntrade. He always says this is lupe and thats it....Little unprofessional....Hopefully it gets better...

Problem with opening the store, you have inventory issues and that builds up over the first few months.

As far as answering the phone, just talk to the manager and mention it to him. He would appreciate it.

We have a play n trade here and the manager spams Craiglist constantly with shitty deals. I wouldn't mind if it was a mom and pop store but it's a franchise so they force me to flag every single damn post the guy makes.

I can understand the inventory issues....The store is in San Antonio in case you know the guy. I actually love the idea of the store and was really impressed with the look. I really hope they make it and I have tried to give them business but its either they dont have it in stock, they dont answer the phone during business hours, or something else....Any enemy of gamestop is a friend of mine....

LOL, well I think its good for the industry and the customers. I would bring it up to them because especially when you start, you want to correct any problems before it is too late.

They should offer you to get the game anyway they can just as a customer service issue. Or at least at a discount or a deal.

Here are some price changes I just got today. Some of these games are pretty old. The used prices are actually pretty cheap but I didn't post them. For example 360 Stranglehold is $40 used. Some of these might be less elsewhere but I figured I would still post them.

Some noteworthy drops are Stranglehold to $50 which I am sure you will see at other places. Also Crash of the Titans has dropped $10. I heard its pretty good as far as family fun is concerned.

I saw one of these in Cincinnati (Milford to be exact, across from showcase cinemas). It seemed like a nice store, the owner told me about tourneys and other events. He also told me they had been only open about a week, and he was still getting a feel for the business. I did notice they were overpriced on several items (All Pro 2k8 for 59.99??). I will probably go back in a few weeks and see if the prices have changed.

The problem for some of these games is that the price changes have to be inputted manually. Sometimes you get the games weeks in advance and with everything going on, he prob did not input the price change. It happens but it is possible you could have pointed it out to him.
I wish there was a Play N Trade in the Northern Suburbs of Illinois. There is like 6 Gamestops in a 5 mile range where I live.
Same, I live in Naperville, Its got about 7 gamestops in 10 miles. None ever have anything good and they all smell bad.

USED XBOX System Price Drop $59.99 (done to compete with Gamestop)

I know it might not be that huge for some people, but the Xbox is a great deal for $60. There are a ton of great cheap games for it.

You people are funny. Obviously this guy isn't going to open any PNT locations where there are GameStops every 1.5 miles. I'm sure, especially in the early going, they are specifically seeking out places where there aren't any other game stores for several miles.

I haven't checked PNT out yet, too far out of my way but I will eventually. Honestly I doubt I will care though, seems like they are going to be a mix between Game Stop and Game Crazy, but with tiny inventorys.

Just an update, the store in san antonio is starting to pick it up....I love the fact that they sell dreamcasts, genny and snes games, and all the other older systems. Its a great alternative to having to ebay all this older stuff.....I just picked up a psp slim daxter bundle there too wOOt

Well, I have at least 5 Gamestops within 5 miles of me and apparently there is not one but TWO PnT here in Charlotte, one of which is apparently either in the same shopping center or right across from a shopping center with a Gamestop in it.

I honestly don't mind being near a Gamestop, it shows that there is interest there. But I can't really be in the same center as one because Gamestop has exclusivity with their lease. But one of the earlier locations that I really wanted was very close to a Gamestop.

Why would someone open a franchise, they dictate what you can sell and how much to sell it for. The franchise fee could be used to get more inventory and better prices.

If you trade stuff in to a PnT they look at gamestop website prices if it is not in their systems.

Also I saw the prices of trade in were lower or the same as gamestop prices.

I went to the Play n Trade in Charlotte on South Blvd. The guys there are really cool but their used accessories seem to cost a little more than Gamestop.

OMFG, and I just bought Rock Band last night...

Also, I don't know what power you have in this, but I traded my 360 wheel in today, got a weird thing in the computer. Lady said that new=90-ish, used =50-ish, but trade-in value was 80-ish. But, when the actual transaction goes in, it rings up as 30, which was what I got.

I have no control over that and trade in value is determine by store. If she said it was $80 for a trade in then I would have mentioned something there. Hold on to your receipt and call them up.

The thing is that when she made the actual transaction, it rang in as 30 automatically. She mentioned that it must have been an error since they give more than what she actually sells it for. The reciept also does not mention what item I traded in, only that it was a trade-in. I also beleive that the lady was the owner as well (Arvada, CO location.) Only reason I didn't argue it was because I had to get to work, an I was looking to get rid of it anyways. If I call back, what grounds do I have to make an argument?

I would take your receipt back and talk to them. The POS system is really good, your information is in there and your transactions. It is possible that she made an adjustment based on the condition or they might have a few already. There was also a price break on that recently.

Just trying to remember... you got $30 on a trade in of a wheel when you thought you should get $80? Or how much did you expect to get back when you talked to them? I would typically say you might get $40-50 back from it. Wheels are actually iffy to sell. THats why there was a price drop and third party ones are just crap, but I assume you mean the official 360 version.

But talk to them, just say you were confused and thought you were supposed to get more back. Be calm about it and explain your case because I know from working retail, typically if you come off attacking they will attack back instead of help.

I talked to a different guy the day before, and he said they offered 80. Later that night, I saw through an ad on the 360 blades that the wheel dropped to 99. I figured hey, if I can get 80, why not, but since it dropped, might as well get as much for it aas I can since I don't use it. Next day, stopped by on the way to work, she told me that they sell it used for 50, so even I knew that that really does not make sense that they offer $30 more trade-in value than what they sell it for, which is another reason I wasn't trying to push it. I guess I'll try calling, but I really am not expecting much.

Edit: Just called them, they told me that the $30 came from their some database somewhere in California. Person I talked to offered to "undo" the trade, but I told him its fine. eBay prices are around 50 anyways, and despite how un-cheapass it sounds, I am willing to take that hit for the credit in exchange of not habing to deal with eBay, paypal, boxing, shipping, waiting, withdrawing from paypal, etc. I just brought I up here because I thought it was a glitch or something that could be corrected by you (avoiding stuff like Circuit City glitches).

Edit2: I guess this may have caused confusion, but yes, she did tell me that it was 30, and I accepted it. It's not like she said 80, I got home, looked at my receipt, and it said 30.

Yeah, it happens especially with price drops. That one was a weird drop was out of no where. But then again... if anyone wants a wheel... that store is selling one for $50 which is a pretty good deal LOL

Just wanted to give a heads up for the Buena Park store. Ive been looking for Tekken Tag Tourney for PS2, but i wanted it complete with the original case art and manual. Almost EVERY ebgames/gamestop had the game in stock, but disc only. I called probably 15 stores and they either had no manual, no original box, or were too busy to check. I strolled into the Play n Trade today on a whim, and standing there was a MINT condition Tekken Tag Tourney, original case art and original manual in superb shape. The disc was also near flawless and just played an entire game on the PS3 without issue (game looks AWESOME upscaled to 720p btw). Also, EB Games wants 12.99, only 9.99 at Play N Trade. Definitely a VERY good experience with them, this was my first time purchasing an item at the store. I will be shopping there more.

Great to hear :)

Can I mention that it would be great to hear of a PnT store opening in Philadelphia? :bouncy::bouncy::bouncy: ...At the moment all we have are Gamestops and shaddy corner bootleg sellers!

He's not in control of that. PnT are independently owned, so someone else would have to pay for one to be opened there themselves. I asked about this back on Page 1.

I would love to open one myself. Seeing all the pictures and the great things that happen there, I wouldn't mind investing in something that amazing. It would probably be a worthwhile endeavor after I graduate. :)

I know someone is opening a store in Plymouth Meeting, PA. So I don't that is too far from you. There are is a wide variety of locations that people want to open into, just need people to do it. Right now it seems the large majority of stores have been opening in CA, FL and TX.

No price changes but some interesting delays and release dates.

Wii Wireless Nunchuck - 2/19/08
Splinter Cell Conviction - 10/7/08
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - 3/19/08
Hot Shots Golf - 3/19/08

Very interesting to see Splinter Cell getting delayed so late into the year basically becoming a holiday title. Also no PS3 Version was announced although there is a DS version.

The Wireless Nunchuck I think if it works well, would be very cool. I hate sometimes when that cord wipes into my arm.

I went in to my local Play N Trade today(they just opened on Monday) I liked the place, especially the Try before you buy aspect. The Thing I didn't like was the person working there, he didn't seem like he knew alot about games.(Other people came and asked if they had Gamecube games and he responsed "weird", idk he wasn't like "yeah right over here" maybe he jsut got hired and doesn't know where stuff is. IDK if he does just that is how he came off. He didn't listen to me, EX. He asks me if I am looking for specific game or console, I say "NO, just looking around" and he asks me like 4 more times while we are talking.
Finally he was explaining some package deal thing, where you can get for the any console that is like $200 bundle. He asks the other guy there about getting the flyers that have all the stuff that came with it. This other guy, I found out later that he was the owner.
This guy was cool to talk to. We were talking about COD4 for about 10 minutes. Their shelfs were pretty empty because they just opened, but they did have third party accessories that caught my eye.

YOBO Gameware?? WTF? I looked them up when I got home, their website looks like I made it my first day of HTML class, and the pictures look like they are from a cell phone camera.
http://www.yobogroup.com/
(is this standard with all PNT or is this the franchisee jsut signing with them?)

I will probably go back because he gave me a card for 20% off any used game, also for some reason Gamestop/EB games never "seemed right to me" maybe because I never really got to know the employees idk but they just never "Flew right with me"(in the works of Brain Griffin.)

I was a little let down that they follow gamestops policy and sell opened games as new.......That really chaps my ass....
