I really dig the look of the Prima book, but I know Pat's book will be killer and I honestly think I may order one. I enjoy his stuff on YouTube and would feel better about giving Pat money than I would Prima. I'm sure Pat has spent an insane amount of time working on this.

 
Man, Pat's book looks awesome. Glad he was able to get this cleared under fair use, definitely wanna pre-order it asap. I like supporting these nods to retro games as much as I can and I'm glad Nintendo seems to realize more and more that they have a good sized market interested in their older systems. For a company so heavily built on conjuring up nostalgia in us all, it amazes me that its taken this long for them to start creating more retro based merchandise like books and consoles. I hope the Prima book and Nintendo Mini are quality and both do well, so we see more of this sort of thing in the future.

I might pick that. Im not familiar with him but he got my interest in the preview video on that page where he said "it helped save the video game market in north america" which that statement tells me he knows games. Most idiots just spout out how atari almost killed the entire video game market and never even realize that in the rest of the world video games continued to thrive and grow. So out of either stupidity and thinking america is the only country in the world, or just repeat what others say without really know what they are repeating. So I tend to disregard most gamers when they try to talk about the topic.
