Is this a universal-type cord that is easily replaced?

I scored a Playstation at a local flea market with tv hookups (coax LOL) two controllers and two memory card for 3 bucks.

I want to hook it up on the little TV in my bedroom, but I refuse to order a cord online and pay more for the cord itself than I did for everything else.

Could I hot swap a cord as long as it fits (round one side, square the other)?

Suggestions?

As long as there isn't anything anywhere on the cord resembling some kind of circuitry (brick shaped and whatnot) you're set. You just need a straight cord that goes from the wall to the PSX with nothing in between. Plug to figure 8 or round one side and square other, either or.

Oh yeah and I wouldn't recommend Hot Swapping, turning it off first would probably be better.

All you have to do is buy a PS2 replacement power cord - they are identical. I bought one at EB less than a week ago for 5 bucks. Granted it was not an officially licensed product but I could care less.

I just meant regular swapping.

I don't even really know why I typed "hot."
