I posted this in the PS2 board but then I figured this would be worthwhile for the deals section as well. As of posting all these are in stock. Enjoy!

Very cool. Thanks, OP. I didn't know about half of these.
I hope this trend continues and they rerelease things like all those platformers that came out on the PS2 like Jak and Daxter. I'd love to pick those up.
Aren't these retail prices?
Yeah but some people may not know about them or where to get them. It is mainly to compile a list all in one place.

Call of Duty 2-Pack added...thanks.

I'm tempted to pick up Resident Evil: Essentials but I'm not sure about the controls. The "tank" controls were what turned me off from the first Resident Evil. I know RE4 has revised controls but what about Code Veronica and Outbreak?

Code veronica and outbreak have the same control style as the originals

I'm still holding out hope for a Ratchet & Clank collection sometime this year...
Yeah, I'd be really interested in some collections of PS2 exclusives I have missed out on, like Ratchet & Clank, and Sly Cooper. Sadly, most of the stuff in these current collections is better on Xbox or Gamecube.

The Crash 3-Pack is only 20 dollars at All my Local Wal-Mart Stores. Worth checking out for those interested in that particular set.

It's actually still the same controls, just different camera angle and the ability to aim. You still move like a tank.

Need the Hitman & DMC series packs.

& I wouldn't celebrate over the CoD: Legacy pack. All you get a boring run-of-the-mill FPS that was nothing like the actual 1st CoD & an inferior CoD 2 made for last-gen consoles.

God I love outbreak :)

Only played the first, but no headset use & long loads killed it for me.
would you say the resident evils play/look better on the gamecube?
RE 1 - Gamecube, obviously.
RE 2 - Tie between Dreamcast & Gamecube, then again nothing much has changed except for sharper textures & more steady FMV scenes. Funny that the GC version is just a straight PS1 port overall, while Dreamcast & N64 versions (yes, there is one) come loaded with extras.
RE 3 - same as RE 2, except there isn't an N64 version.
RE 4 - Wii, but its just the PS2 & GC versions combined along with difficulty (even on Pro) that makes me snore even more than the other 2 did

I don't get why people don't like the "tank" controls. My first RE was REmake for GC & I got used to the controls after about 5 minutes. Same with friends, they got used to it within minutes or hours.

But yeah, nevermind, I guess.

dunno some of those 3 packs are terrible prices

especially games like Need For Speed or Harry potter garbage

I guess the hitman and RE 3 packs are not bad deals considering RE4 and HMBM still retail for $19.99
Code veronica and outbreak have the same control style as the originals
I thought RE4 had basically the same controls as the earlier ones too. I never figured out why people think they're so different. Refined maybe...

Code Veronica was IMO way too hard and had no difficulty settings, and Outbreak isn't a real Resident Evil game, although for what it was it actually seemed kind of interesting, as multiplayer things go.

Probably the only "oddball" RE games worth tracking down are:
-the Resident Evil remake on the Gamecube, which looks great (better than any Wii game aside from Super Mario Galaxy) and is substantially a different game from the original, so it's worth owning both.
-Resident Evil 0-I thought this was the weakest of the 5 real, "numbered" games, but even still it's fun. The "leave all your stuff on the ground rather than using magic item chests" mechanic was annoying. The magic item chests just works much better.

Umm...anyway, thanks for these lists! I wasn't aware of most of them.

some tempting ones... maybe i'll pick a set or two and play it on my 40gb ps3

oh wait

time to pull out the OG ps2 from the closet

You know I just realized Summoner 1 doesnt work on the 60gb PS3... go figure

So I popped it in my PS2 and also my girlfriend was playing PS2 Katamari....

Its amazing how much better PS2 games look on the PS2 as opposed to the lame video signal compromises made when the PS3 displays them.

ON the PS2 the games are crisp and you can see exactly how the developer intended them to look. When I roll w/ them on the PS3 even w/ smoothing off they still look washed out and blurry.

Sony really needs to update the firmware to help w/ the PS2 backwards compat, even on the 60gb its extremely disappointing. The only thing good about it is virtual mem cards and HDMI

The devil may cry collection is curious, is it a reprint?
The 5th ann. collection has been out of print and difficult to find new. The picture ebgames lists is slightly different.

Could be a sweet deal if it is hidden cache rather than a reprint.

I believe there were 2 different pressings of the Devil May Cry Collection....1 in a black box and 1 in a white box.

The ones I saw at the local GS was the ugly white one...*Yuck* compared to the 1st one.

I noticed at gamestops, a couple of the DMC games from the DMC sets were labeled as used, they probably had a surplus since the outside box looked all mint. Not only that they were labeled not for individual resale so you would know that it came from the DMC collection set.

Dino Crisis was on PS1 no?

Xenosaga would be sweet.

I'm thinking of picking up the GTA trilogy since I've never really got into them when they were relevant.

The DMC trilogy is a great value, I paid Capcom 38 for it and don't regret it at all.

Also, is Hitman worth picking up?

Hitman Blood Money is the best in the series IMO, much better graphics engine and controls, not to mention classic missions.

COntracts was fun but forgettable. Silent Assassin is an old classic.
Hopefully we'll see a Dino Crisis and a Xenosaga trilogy set in the works soon.
Not sure how a Dino Crisis trilogy would work since the series went from PlayStation to Xbox. Capcom should just release a trilogy set that's three copies of DC2. I'd buy one if I didn't already own the game.
im waiting for the prince of persia trilogy set. europe got it, why cant we?
The games didnt sell great in the USA, Two Thrones never even went greatest hits? I can't find a reasonably cheap copy anywhere, everything is $30+ for a used version or a GS/EB buy at your own risk version

Man, if they have a Xenosaga trilogy I would so get it right now. I loved the first one (only one I played), I like how it seems your more into the story (cutscenes = awesome and epic) and that what I think makes it look different the those other rpgs.
