Wow, this is a good deal for the 40GB......this holiday season is really making me wish I would've held out a year until now to buy my PS3...
 
This is actually pretty decent when you throw in the 5 free Blu-Ray movies offer... 6 Blue-Ray movies and a game of your choice is a pretty decent value to throw in with a PS3 40GB. I still have a hard time pulling the trigger on a PS3 though, since I already own a 360 and Wii.

Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank both look like really great exclusives, but those are unfortunately at the top of a very small list of games that lure me to the PS3 :) With all the great games getting dumped on 360 owners this month, I'm already going to be up to my eyeballs in stuff to play well into 2008.

If they took away all of the Blu-Ray offers and just lowered the price by $100, I'd probably bite. I could really care less about Blu-Ray right now, so it's a shame that they are using the PS3 to push it so much. I suppose one could try to sell the 6 Blu-Ray movies for $15 each and make $90 back, but I imagine that Ebay will be flooded with the 'free' titles pretty soon.
 
So so tempted to bite. But, I just can't seem to do it. Not to sure why, but just can't haha. Sad thing is, I want to buy a PS3. My wife is making me feel somewhat guilty about it though. She keeps saying "DO NOT BUY ONE! YOU DONT NEED IT" but she also smiles an walks away when saying this. So, maybe she got me one for X-Mas. She got me the 360 for Xmas when it first came out! :)

Anywho, say I buy it, if I keep the receipt and do not open it, how long do I have to return it? Hmm. Maybe ill buy it now, just hide it, and if she did buy me one Ill return it. That way she wont be mad that I ruined a nice suprise! :)
 
Will they price match this offer if I bought one before and they gave me nothing?
I bought an 80GB and now they have this. Will they give me a remote and game, or do I have to return the PS3 and then buy it again?
 
I know my Walmart refuses to pricematch their own deals unless you throw a yelling fit at them. The old ladies and trailer park trash that run the customer service booth are insanely nuts. They also like to laugh at you when they tell you no, thinking that they got you good.

But, what makes it even more fun is when you return it for a refund, then return a few minutes later with the same product, and ask them to ring it up for you. Yah, they get very upset. :) I have way to much fun when I visit my local Walmart! :)
 
With tax and shipping, total is like $444. I managed to get one for $344 at Kmart thanks to coupon, so an extra $100 for a game and remote is a no go for me, but otherwise, not a bad deal.
 
My K-Mart wouldn't take the 20% coupon since it was printed out on a computer. Even when they called the manager he refused to do so for me because he could not confirm it as being a real coupon.

Oh well. Im going to snag this deal and hide it in the attic. If she gets me one, then Ill return it. If I can't return it ill keep the remote the bd, and the game, and give the PS3 to my older brother.
 
I know the shipping is $17 but anyone know how much the tax might be for a 80 GB? Should I go for this deal or just get it from Amazon with free shipping and no tax? Between Walmart and Amazon, who has the better 3-year extended warranty and is it worth getting? Thanks
 
Wouldn't be suprised. She's a bargain shopper like myself. At least I know ill have one either way.

We usually just buy one decent priced X-mas present for each other, then a bunch of small stuff. All I know is I just dropped $1150 on a 14k white gold diamond (1 and 1/8th) dolphin pendant and necklace she has been eyeballing since mid-May. She's going to be shocked when she gets it too. I convinced her that she didn't need to spend that much money on jewlery, just so I could get her it for X-Mas! Ah....guess we kind of think a like haha. Now I just need to find CSI for the 360 for her at a decent price, and her x-mas shopping will be done (already picked up a bunch of other small stuff for her, to much and I might spoil her you know );)
 
The shipping kills the deal for me. I dont understand why they dont offer this in store. If they did I would be playing rachet and clank now.
 
Thanks for the deal, I ordered this two days ago. Should get here next Tuesday, I'm very excited. I missed out on all the black friday deals, and everything else...since I just started using this forum a couple of days ago. Even with shipping and tax, I figure I'm getting a free game and blu ray remote. :) (Though I know I couldve got a better deal a week ago)
 
I got this deal too, if walmart ever decides to get off of their ass and charge my card.

Did you guys get an order confirmation email right away when you ordered? I just got one and it's like 3 days later.
 
I got my confirmation letter within a few hours of placing my order. And today I got a confirmation letter that my Uncharted has shipped (separately from the system, apparently, which has not).

You should be able to check your confirmation on their site. You might just have a credit card that puts a temporary hold on online orders.

Man, fuck walmart.com. After waiting two days for them to cancel my order I ordered from amazon.com last night for the same price - the Blu-Ray remote and it shipped this morning already.
 
Well I ordered a few days ago and got a confirmation email a few hours later. They charged my debit card, and I still had not got a tracking number! I called them up this afternoon when I was checking my online statement, and noticed I got credited the money I paid them for it. They said that they had sold out and could not fullfill my order. They said they would email me when they got it back in stock and I could repurchase it. I told them forget it, as I already had my money back. Not really upset, but wow talk about bad business practice.

If I hadn't checked my online statements say untill Tuesday, then I wouldve expected it anytime. Obnoxious.
 
Go figure, I just got an email from them right after I posted this! They are back in stock. I want to bite, again, but walmart.com just left a really really bad taste in my mouth. Hmmm.
 
I bought the 80GB Motorstorm pack and Uncharted for $560.00 at amazon. That's how much it came up to for me at walmart.com. So you are only getting a free blu ray remote.

Not worth it for the bullsh*t involved IMO.
