Note: this is all for Euro PSN accounts, but don't be surprised if US accounts get the same stuff. If not, just sign up for a euro one since it's so damn easy.

Expect a good hunk of announcements as well as the second wave of HOME closed beta invites.
Yeah me too... MGS4 was a bust.
I know, after playing through it and finishing it, you must've thought it was terrible.
Yeah me too... MGS4 was a bust.
I don't think so really (really love MGO, but it will not be for everyone).

Anyway, I will try out Haze most definitely.

Definitely looking forward to PS Day; however, I will keep my expectations low because it could be mostly just update previous games, or it could show off new things. We just don't know.
I am hoping they show something about Infamous at this thing. I can't wait to see more of that game.
There was supposed to be a big preview in the new EGM (Splatterhouse issue), but it looks like it was bumped to the next issue. I'm hoping we get a new trailer, but I think they may hold off to have a big reveal at E3.

I enjoyed MGO, but it was just too slow... if you could move just a little bit faster,

I'll wait to make an EU account until y'all come runnin' back here praising the name of Haze.

Or, if you come back lamenting the game, I won't bother.

But be sure to give us your thoughts on it.
I enjoyed MGO, but it was just too slow... if you could move just a little bit faster,
It's a stealth action game, so oh course it will be on the slower side.

From what one rumor said (I take it with the smallest grain of salt), development of INFAMOUS is not going very well, and Sony themselves isn't too sure whether they should keep it going.

So is MGS3, but you don't have to move that slow..

I think that they made the movement slow to make the maps seem big.. in actuality the maps ( at least the one I played) was pretty small, (actually I played two maps) If you move too fast it would make the maps seem much to small, or their actual size.

This will help www.fakenamegenerator.com

I generated an address I liked [not too long], and just made my name be Harry Potter .

Actually, the movement speed is well above realistic movement speeds.

The speed of movement was a design choice to tie into the teamwork aspect of the game and its pacing. Making it faster would turn the game into quake, and no one would bother to use the evasion moves like the roll and hops. So it's fine as it is, and if you really want to move that much faster, keep taking the fast motion skill.

Having to take the fast motion skill and build it up is their way of representing the player having to strip down some gear and focus on fast movement as part of their play style.

What they really need now is more teamwork oriented skills, items, and actions. Things like medics, support weapons, etc...

There's plenty of other games where you move at breakneck (literally) speeds and have zero inertia.

Back to the gamer's day. I'm excited for it, but cautious.

They really need to show that the big games for 2008 are coming along well. And more importantly the updates to the PSN online play, voice chat, Home, and in-game XMB (aka The Big Community Update) are all on track too.

The biggest thing that should come out of Playstation Days, besides the exclusives, is the community aspects which are what the PS3 is sorely lacking in. I think all of us here are getting quite annoyed at teamwork and communication issues in recent online games like GTA4 and MGO. Likewise trying to get together with friends in those games is problematic.

I would definitely like to try out Haze. I'm not sure about purchasing it, I've been on the fence about the game, excited but skeptical. Hopefully it can calm my fears.

It's here! Well, as of this post it's 7am in the UK. I'm up all night working on a sculpture, so as the day progresses it should be interesting to see what pops up.

For all you that don't like my comment. You know... I really wanted to like it, but it seems too clunky, awkward, and slow for me. Especially after playing RSV2 and with a 360 controller. It's the same way for Splinter Cell, I tried all their games and didn't like it either. :(

I really want to be able to play my PS3 too, but it just isn't going to happen yet. I was a PS console only. GT5p is in the mail.

I'm sorry guys.

Nothing to be sorry about, just next time try to clarify your opinion a bit more. It's obvious you prefer a different style of game in multiplayer. That's fine.
Heheh, another arts/entertainment major up late working on finals projects?
actually I was doing that about a week and a half ago, but right now I'm editing for a job the school is paying me for which is nice.

Ouch, looks like the rumors were true, Killzone 2 goes to February 2009. While the delay stinks, the fact that there's a more concrete date at all means that they're nearing something stable. Looks like there's a new video that we'll be able to see. It's also playable by attendees. I wonder if they'll reuse the same demo map.

Good thing we'll have Haze and R2 this year to hold us over.

kinda glad about the killzone delay since it'll probably land near my birthday and Killzone is something I can wait on if it means the game will be better.

R2 shot.
work in progress

Motorstorm 2 is sounding pretty good.
Much more interaction with the enviroment than before.

PS3 has now outsold 360 in both Japan (duh) and Europe since both systems launch.

North America is what's left, and what will be the real battle.

No big loss on the Killzone delay; I still am amazed at how much hype it gets after the first game ("Halo killer" talk that culminated in a completely forgettable vanilla-bland FPS).

"Fool me once, shame on you..." y'know?

Let us know about the Haze demo, sir dallow.'

EDIT: Yeah, aren't there roughly 7 million more 360s in the US than PS3s? Approx 12m vs. 5 m? That's a might big gap to overcome in the three years between now and when the next gen consoles arrive (at least on MS' part).

Ultimately nothing new in this presentation. Just retreading the same ground as before, the only difference seems to be that more of these games are now playable after the presentation.

Don't they mean a limited exclusive? So is the demo already up in the uk psn?

It doesn't look all that different from the previous Killzone 2 trailer.

I'm not trying to shit all over the game, but this didn't really offer anything that hadn't been seen before. I hope the Thursday PSN video offers something new and unique.

EDIT: D'oh! I didn't realize Mirror's Edge was a totally different game. I thought it was just a title of the trailer for Killzone 2.

As for Mirror's Edge, woah.

No, Haze is completely exclusive. Its not coming out on any other platform.

mirrors edge in game video looks pretty damn good.
It looks like they may have overcome the issues with platforming from a first person perspective, if not it could become the most aggravating game ever.

It is good to see that Siren will be hitting the Europen region. Hopefully that also means it will be released in the US.
