Great will finally pick up Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix after missing the 4.99 amazon deal by seconds could not pay 14.99 after that. And will check out castle crashers demo.
Yakuza 3 pack worth $3.99?
It's gotten good ratings on PSN when I was browsing the store offerings today.

Yay for Valkyria Chronicles 2!!!! :applause::applause::applause:

I got lucky and grabbed the yakuza 3 pack when bestbuy messed up and sega was giving them away free on the forums a few months back... still havnt put the game in my ps3 yet tho, backlog ftl

man what is the deal with Wakeborading HD? Everytime it goes on sale it is a different price..this time its $1 higher than the last PSN+ sale..gonna have to wait until they stop messing with us..$5 or bust!

Awesome!

Finally got Super Street Fighter THDR. Didn't pick it during the last sale since I didn't have any credit.

SHC's sale on PSN cards makes this even sweeter.
PSN card sale?
Happened a few weeks ago. You could buy a 20 card and get a 10 coupon, which you could use to buy another 20 card

was gonna pair magic orbz w/ the magic orbz dlc sale ($0.99) each but the dlc didn't drop. guess i won't be getting magic orbz at all now. kinda disappointed b/c i haven't played arkanoid since i was like 10 yrs old.
Is SSF2 worth it even if I have a copy of Turbo on the SNES?
If you enjoy Street Fighter, hell yes. Rebalanced, re-done sprites in HD, and some previously awkward moves are now easier to perform (most notably the weird 412369 motions for Fei Long and Cammy).
Totally worth it for an SF fan, especially at the sale price.

Edit: Wait, just turbo? Not super turbo? Buy it RIGHT NOW.

THEME HOSPITAL! YESSSS!!! (aka Sim Hospital)

I've been waiting to play this game again for over a decade! I LOVE this game. I remember renting it like 4 times as a kid...ahh, memories...and for $6?? Hell yeah!

Magic Orbz is ok, but it's no Arkanoid. The 3D objects in Magic Orbz frequently hide the ball and you can't tell where or the angle that it's going to emerge. Magic Orbz also has excessive power ups that make the game too easy. The 3D models & physics are interesting if you like the genre, but Arkanoid Plus! on Wiiware is a much better game if you're old enough to remember 2D arcade games.

And Arkanoid on Xbox Live is the same game as Arkanoid Plus but with better graphics and online play.

Anyway, the best game of that genre on PS3 is Shatter (also available on PC).

I think Arkanoid Plus! has a lot more levels and better control than Arkanoid Live. But, either variation of Arkanoid is a better game than the newer console derivatives. Shatter was ok but it feeds you so many extra lives that it's too easy. Timed Boss Attack in Shatter is awesome though.
I would've tried it for 99 cents but 1.99 seems too much for me to try it.
Hahah, this site is fuckin ridiculous.

Hey, I can be picky. Its cheap ass gamer, not cheap ass bad-gamer.
Two bucks for a game that I hear sucks and that I'll never play is a waste of two bucks. I got Worms instead.

I was hoping for the DLCs too, so I emailed Creat:

"Thank you for your interest in Creat Studios, Magic Orbz and our End of Summer Spectacular Sale. We appreciate you taking the time to email us about the DLC sale.

Unfortunately, there was a technical issue that prevented the scheduled DLC sale from being offered in the PSN system. We are working with Sony to correct this, and will present the 99 cent DLC sale very soon.

We appreciate your patience, and thank you again for taking the time to contact us."

whoa, thanks tequilapickles! guess i'll get magic orbz this week and wait on the dlc then!
guess I'll hold off on getting shatter...for now.

update: purchased magic orbz (321 mb dl). i trusted them this time around. we'll see how honest they are. i have no problem handing over my money to a stand up indie company.

You're welcome :) Yeah, I hope they follow through. I was a little hesitant when I bought flower for full price (missed the sale), but it was totally worth it both for me and for the studio.

And Arkanoid on XBL is chopped up into pieces so SE can get more money from people for the complete game. That and I've found the Arkanoid style a bit too sterile after playing the DS game.

Shatter is easily the best brick-breaking game around. Magic Orbz is second due to the good design of the 3D levels, physics, and online/local co-op.

The Wii version isn't broken up into the main game and DLC packages? Bubble Bubble Neo on Wii was, same as the XBLA version.

I bought Theme Hospital at Blockbuster a long time ago. The cashier couldn't ring it up for whatever reason so she ended up just giving it to me. I still have it to this day.
Have they ever put bejeweled 2 on sale on PSN? I really want that but not for $10
Never been in sale, I think. I've been waiting for a long time.
Never been in sale, I think. I've been waiting for a long time.
It has only been on sale as part of the "PopCap Bundle" in May. It was Bejeweled 2, Peggle, Zuma, Heavy Weapon and Feeding Frenzy 2 for $25 (it may have been $30, I don't remember.) I picked it up on impluse and have played most of them to death with the exception of Zuma (I just flat out suck) and Heavy Weapon (the online function is inoperable, if you try to create and/or search for an online game it freezes indefinitely :bomb:).

But yeah, $10 is a bit steep for only Bejeweled 2.

oh wow, castle crashers is super awesome. just started with my kids yesterday and we all already have our favorite color/character and been playn it mad. like scott pilgrim but alot better/funner.

Looks like theres a couple of us. Heres the deal, if any of us ever see it onsale, give it its own title thread here on the forum. We dont need it to go lost or unnoticed in a 'PSN game sale'
