Playstation One games 50 cents each A&P (YMMV)

Last night I was checking out the discount dvd section at my local A&P and was suprised to find PS1 games in the bin for 50 cents apiece. I bought 14 of them and the only pc game (for my niece and nephews).
Granted most of them were budget titles but I did get Mega Man Legends,
Mega Man X4, and Rainbow six (all greatest hits versions)

This particular A&P was in West Paterson NJ.

A&P Is a supermarket that we used too have alot of in the NYC Metro area anyway. Still a few around tho. Good find :) Might check the one A&P near me.
 
Yes A&P is a supermarket, I do forget that most supermarkets seem to keep their stores in one particular area. Anyway they did recently aquire Pathmark (another supermarket chain) so who knows they might have shipped some games as well there.
 
There were duplicates of most titles. I cannot say what has transpired in the 12 hours since I bought my copies. Don't know if they had more in the back (the bin was full and could not fit anymore). I was more or less directing people to check out their own A&PS nearby. With is funny because there do not seem to be that many. I lived in this area all of my life and I just assumed that these Supermarkets are just all over the country. But it seems there are completely different chains in each territory. If you have to travel far its probably not worth it.
 
Man, I haven't seen an A&P in years. I thought they totally closed down shop. My first job was bagging grocery at one. :)

But I digress, great find OP.
 
This might be at more locations...I went to the Old Tappan, N.J. A&P on my lunch break and picked up:

Mega Man Legends $0.50
Qix Neo $0.50
Jimmy White's Cueball 2 $0.50
Mobile Armor $0.50

I really just wanted Mega Man Legends but I figured for $0.50 I'd grab a few more. Thanks for the heads up OP!

There's an A&P about 10 minutes away from me. I was planning on heading over to the GS over there to pick up Metroid Prime 2, so maybe I'll stop by there, too.
 
there were also 3 a&p in the Boston, MA area over a decade ago. also a supermarket at the time.
 
This is a really sick deal. We had an A&P down the street when I was very young, but it's long gone. I didn't know this chain still survives.

I thought I was lucky enough to find Soul Blade for $4 at Dollar General a few weeks ago, but Mega Man Legends for $0.50? Wow.
